first day of the 12 days of yetimas. it was a nice easy fast walk of a 5k. Speed Demon did not like this walking thing. however, i enjoyed it. with 11 more days to go, it was nice for an easy day. tonight is another 5k, they want a progressive 5k. we'll see. the coach wasn't sure about that and would rather it be a…

2 runs this weekend. 1st run was supposed to be friday but i put it off. after yoga class saturday, speed demon and I pulled off 2 miles. it was supposed to be 3 but nope, no legs. i don't think she minded too much. Yesterday we ran the Hateya canicross event. Up by me, we did not have any snow or ice. The night before the…

i've been playing flare, cold, or covid. i won't get into details but found out yesterday it was flare. so i made myself go out. since i was feeling rotten took the old girl out with me and Speed Demon. We did 2 slow miles. it was all the effort i had. slow. even when i did got for runs, i managed 11 min on the flats. but…

i was thinking that too @katharmonic especially the taking off part but i think someplace i still have the tape from the bandages when i was bit last year

if you already have a blister on the back of your heel, how do you protect the area when you run again? a rock got in my shoe and now i've got a broken blister.
-
very foreboding looking

someone snapped her collar and broke her tags, so i got the old girl a new collar but found these tags. Speed Demon has a new tag coming too, got it thru her microchip company.

hope it's a mild case @quilteryoyo @marisap2010 hopefully, it was just gossip. nice looking races, people. high fives.

I feel like I've been hibernating. Hypersomnia. Got out and did my run with Speed Demon. She was anxious. It's been a long time since that was the case. I think we both still enjoyed it. Finished a full 6 mi with the warm up and cool down. 4.5 mi run. Some walking. Very achy. But I'm enjoying building up the habit. We're…

Happy birthday @Scott6255 and @shanaber Hugs to those that need it.
-
that makes sense. they probably want to minimize the physical stress to be safe. and we want you to be safe.
-
@quilteryoyo good luck on your procedure Fingers cross for a speedy recovery

i am really happy with the coach. i reported my late run last night that was supposed to be tuesday and he acknowledged that even though i had missed tuesday, getting out last night at 930 after a full day of work and teaching 2 hours of yoga classes, was big. i am definitely seeing a change in my attitude toward running.…

-
that's awesome news!
-
@teresa502 me too. i really don't have more than a 90 at a time to run.
-
I like my coach isn't taking any excuses and i love it. yesterday my schedule made me miss my run and now i have to do it today before midnight. i joked midnight running is really nice...he's like, yeah, i used to do it all the time. no excuses.

Every day the directors email us a distance to run for 12 days. posted a link yesterday. anywhere between 0 to 13
-
they said it won't be any more than 13mi..maybe they'll just do a half on a weekend
-

-
@shanaber they'll email us our mileage each day here's the link

i did it. it was fun. i had been attempting to build up to a regular 50k so my volume was up. I'm also doing their 12 days of Christmas challenge. which is terrifying but i'm excited
-
and if you use handwarmers...if you can can get them to stay on your wrist rather than your palm, you'll be warm faster-the skin is thinner and the veins are closer to the surface

Did 3.2 mi yesterday. Took it easy in an attempt to keep my heart rate down (successful) Speed Demon was very excited to hit up one of our old spots. Coach was happy that I was aware enough to notice his concern at my hr for the first run and adjust my effort accordingly. The trail was stupid busy. Only 1 out of 8 groups…

My December goal is just to stick my coach's plan. I feel since I'm paying him I'll be more motivated So whatever mileage he says
