I would say don't give up sugar. Try to eat what you like in moderation or splurge infrequently, but have it when you crave it.

Haha! I just didn't want to identify myself. And it was the first innocuous thing I found on my phone lol. I didn't want to look like a noob. On that account I'm realizing on the fitness side there are things I really don't know much about. Love this community.

It is really confusing. I think you can gain some muscle on a diet. Especially if you haven't worked out much before.

I disagree. I see toning as building muscle. Otherwise. I agree with your post, but to each his own.

So technically you should see the scale move at approximately the same rate based on your deficit. With or without exercise. You should notice results faster from toning. And I think it takes a while before you have enough muscle to get the extra calorie burn effect. But working out at the same time is recommended.

I agree with the above 3500 cals is a pound of fat, but no one is losing only fat. So it usually takes a lower deficit to lose 1 pound.

Make sure to start exercising right away. I'm only down a few pounds but I can see and feel a difference and so can my bf. And I think it is mostly due to working out.

Vacation is tough. Personally I just try to not overeat and move a lot. If you don't gain on vacation, that's progress.

This isn't terrible. I've gone a few months before. I think the point is she wants to go and if it is cheap enough she won't cancel even if she isn't going.

This is the reason everyone suggests professional help for eating disorders. Because they are so complex and u can't just treat the symptoms.

It's possible you're eating more than you think. Or burning less if you eat back your exercise cals.

Well I haven't heard of that but I would think a stress fracture could be due to weight. Especially if it had recently gone up. But it seems like you are fine now. You may want to follow up at some point but it doesn't seem like a huge deal to me. Also that's messed up doctors shouldn't talk to people that way.
