We have been asking for my fitness pal to allow making changes to our macros and now they are charging for it???? Wth ... I love this app as the majority of ppl. Just because of that I'm trying to find other apps that I can track my macros no my calories. I can't believe now you guys want to charge for something that people have been asking for for years.

I think the OP means custom macros/changing by less than 5%.

Do you think everything on the site should be free? MFP/UnderArmour need to be profitable to continue. Having specific customizations as part of premium isn't a big deal.

Know your macros and just work to them.... Why do you need a program to give you a red or green number to know what you're doing?

Personally I don't mind paying to be able to accurately change my goals. My coach and I change my diet sometimes weekly if needed so it eliminates a lot of confusion for me to be able to plug in my exact macros and not have to faff around trying to remember my carbs are by X%. For the quality of this platform I think $49 for a year is very reasonable.

I just bought seven under armour Polo's and there $70 each (I paid $40) I could have easily bought something else but I like the way they fit me maybe they should do a points program we could use on this site. I think they gave athlete celbs 200, million last year this site can't cost that much to run...

Oh size Large down from 2xxl

There are only 3 macros. It's not that hard to remember 3 numbers if you are interested in all of them.

Why do you need to know a percentage? If you're working to Xg, work to Xg!

It's not a macronutrient since your body doesn't require it. I suppose if you track it like one it's possible you wouldn't be able to remember the other 3 numbers.

it is- don't let her sway you.
    There are actually 4 macros.
Unless you include cake/ice cream- and then there are 5.

My diet protocol changes regularly. Prior to upgrading to premium I wasn't accurately able to plug in my macros to the exact gram as it was calculated on a % Now I can plug in my exact numbers in grams which for me works and eliminates any confusion. It's also easier for me to stay on track when I run carb cycles as I can now pre-set my macros for each day.

Like I said upgrading to premium has just made things easier for me so it was worth the money IMHO

    This.

It's now much easier to change your calories and macros (and do it in grams vs. %). Also setting your dashboard to countdown your macros (if they really matter to you) is very nice as well.

I know purists prefer to do this all with pen and paper, but $3/month was a no brainer for me ;)
