I suppose you could make your own sausage, it isn't hard (and you don't need casings, just meat and spices) if that makes your trainer happy. :D

last week check in SW=225 CW=211 GW=160 March GW=204 This week check in CW=207 Three to goal, I think I can, I think I can....

Great job! I agree, I've been eating differently six weeks now, down 18 pounds and am actually enjoying what I eat! I find exercise mundane, but getting out in the yard and working is calming to me, so I make it a point to do that. Yes, Lyfestyle change is good!

You definitely have some obstacles in front of you! Sounds like you are ready to get off the couch! I'm a big couch potato as well, so getting out and doing things is a challenge for me. We got this. Start small!

Wow, March is whizzing by us! Already 8 days in! Stay strong everyone!

I haven't been as good about logging my food but I have stayed under my calorie goals and shaved off a couple of pounds. SW=225 CW=211 GW=160 March GW=204 I need motivation to get on my elliptical trainer. ;)

Hi April! We DO have similar goals! Nice to meet you!
-
OK, for a reward , I just ordered Plexiderm for my emerging under eye bags due to weight loss. I'll let ya'll know how it works!
-
I've used it too! Now I know its not a good thing! Sorry to anyone I offended!
-
Wow, didn't know chasing my toddler grandbaby was such a workout, one pound gone in a day! LOL I should have her over more often!
-
Because a coworker told me if you lost weight you'd be pretty. :/ I'm not bad looking and although she's slender, she can't change her face......just saying.
-
Oh, how am I going reach my goal? Log in to MFP food diary every day to watch my nutrient intake. I'm going to start training (walking endurance) for a 5k walk/run in April and continue to use my upright rower and stretching excercises.
-
Hi all! I'm taking the six week challenge on another thread but I like how similar you all sound to my situation. I'm 5ft 6. SW 226 CW 214 GW 160 Goal weight for end of March: 206 Feel free to friend me! I'd love to have motivation buddies that are on the same path as me!

That is the absolute truth! Low carb works, but I'm not going to eat like that the rest of my life! I eat what I usually eat but make it healthier and just watch calories in/calories out! It is working so much better for me than anything and I haven't missed anything or felt like binging.

When I get to the weight I can zipline, I'm going to do it!!!

This is a great place to start. Log in here first instead of FB or pinterest and read the boards, log in your food diary and get inspired by success stories. After my kids grew up, I let myself gain so much weight. Time for me to get healthy so I can see my grandchildren grow up! Even better, my grandmother lived to…

I have tried soooooooooooooooo many diets and found that I do better eating what I normally eat, only a healthier version of it and just watching my calorie intake. Low carb? I'm not doing that forever! Keto? too complicated, low fat? Even Jennie Craig makes you have fat in your diet. So, I'm doing a reduced calorie by…

I'm 5ft 5.5inches and at 225 pounds I'm 18-20. I have to get bigger pants because my waist is as big as my hips, so I have baggy pant legs. I'm top heavy. When I was 160 pounds I could wear an 8/10. I have those jeans in my closet, can't wait to pull them out again!

I had a cheat day yesterday at 2000 cals when I'm supposed to have 1400. I call it victory that I didn't gain and it was one cheat day in two weeks. Next cheat day in 4 weeks...(that's my plan anyway)

Nurse here too!

Can someone help me with the abbreviations used here? What is NSV? And any others commonly used. Not used to forums. Please and Thank you!

So here we are! Did my upright rower three days in a row, feeling it in my glut and quads for sure! Best purchase of exercise equipment I think so far! I love logging in to MFP to count calories/carbs. Started February 1st, down 5 pounds (which I know at least half is water), but lost inches off my stomach already!

I'm 54, 5ft6 at 220 pounds, I'm ready for buddies to be accountable to. I've been on and off MFP for the last several years but now I'm ready to get serious. I have high BP and borderline diabetic. I'm a real couch potato but used to be very active with hiking, biking and swimming. I am a nurse and work nights so the…

Hi!!! I started the first, AGAIN! I need to lose 80 pounds. We got this. I'm trying something new. Calorie counting with carb reduction, nothing drastic so I don't have to beat myself up if I go over in carbs. I'm definitely not counting carbs this time around.
