@RobDowney I do the same but basmati rice and half beef half chicken. For breakfast overnight oats...so easy....or take some eggs and make scrambled eggs in microwave

you can try adding ground oats to your protein shakes to up your carbs. I don't like carbs but trying to bulk so have increased them from 50g a day up to around 300g

Do you Squat really heavy? As In powerlifting 1 rep max heavy? If not you could squat in a squat rack or rack with catchers and then if you can't get out the bottom u just drop it down. I wouldn't feel comfortable squaring with a spotter. Anyway to answer u q if he was spotting u and u trod on his foot I am sure he is fine…

Try and eat whole foods so you can eat so much vegetables for very little calories it's hidden sugar in food that add extra kcal. Also 1g fat = 9kcal vs 1g protein/carb is 4kcal. Ok at the risk of being the only guy to comment but will be brave :-)....I have 2 and 4 year old at home I have always looked after the 2 year old during the night (unless he is unwell) so I prob get 5-6 hrs sleep at most but no more than 3hrs at once as he still wakes up the time stirs/drink/toilet etc. I leave for work…

Chlo I thought your first post was spot on......with the above though for a total beginner do you not think a full body rountine say 3-4 times a week might be a better starting point vs a split routine, at least to start with or even a push/pull/legs

This might sound silly but I had about a year break from gym when she was 1-2 but stayed in ok shape from just carrying her around when we went out or to the zoo park etc never took the push chair she would toddle then I carry her and repeat like some sort of interval training

Don't feel down about it...take it one step at a time try and break your goal down a little so u can hit smaller targets. Main thing is that u feel good making some changes
