Oh man. Thank you all for your incredibly thoughtful responses. Some very excellent points were raised, and I can't thank you enough. It may be time to check in with a therapist, just because. And it is true that you are never really 'over' something like an eating disorder- you just learn how to cope with the triggers…

Did an 8.5 mile walk/run today, just because. Didn't die, and am not terribly sore. 6 months ago I would have been a puddle on the floor.

Still working though some issues myself, but making sure that I am not restricting too much and drinking a lot of fluids helps. Also, getting out of the house if I feel the urge to binge coming on. That almost always happens when I am just hanging out around the house, so getting out and doing something else helps avert…

1. Only had one piece of candy (two shots of whiskey as well, but, well, we're not perfect...). 2. Wore a cute/creepy Halloween costume and didn't worry about looking lumpy. 3. My friend asked if I was going to start online dating again anytime soon (maybe- haven't decided- dating is the worst), and then she said "You're…

I've lost a mid size microwave, working toward a human leg and ultimately a gold brick. Never thought I would be so happy to lose a microwave or a leg (or a gold brick!!!!).

This. Man, I had so many of them, too. I don't miss them. There is a certain freedom in finally being honest with myself.

Oh dear! It might take more than a morsel!
-
Also- those kitties are so cute!
-
Clyde- you're welcome. BRB and tiffkitty - Both of these displays of willing cat servitude are acceptable. Don't forget to throw in some groveling for good measure.

Baked brussel sprouts with chili lime sauce and 4 oz of tilapia (white fish), either baked or pan fried.

You look 15 years younger- like your own daughter (or younger sister). What an excellent life change!

At this point, yea, but I am only about halfway to goal weight. I may change my mind after a few months on maintenance. For now, though, it really is a huge help to me and doesn't actually take all that much time to do. MFP really does make it pretty easy. I am a little nervous about moving into maintenance, actually, as…

Great job!

Told myself I was just naturally fat and couldn't do anything about it. Everyone else in the family was fat, so we must just be fat people. But as soon as i started actually calorie counting and trying to lose weight and be healthier, the weight started peeling off. Funny, that.

Honey Mama chocolate. It's both surprisingly low calorie and dee-lish! Also, for those that care (i dont, particularly) paleo and raw. Soooooo, so good. Mmmmmm.....

I know lots of healthy people that are not breakfast eaters. Personal preference, and it doesn't seem to impact them negatively at all. That said, if I don't eat something by 10am, heads will roll.

I got rid of my ugly clothes- the clothes I wore to hide myself from myself. I still have some too big clothes in the closet, but as they are nice articles of clothing, I'm thinking of selling them once I'm ready to part ways. I don't plan keeping any 14+ sizes around, that's for sure. I really like the idea of getting a…

I want to jump out of a plane! And wear something other than full shorts and a t shirt at the beach! And run for 5 miles without stopping! And yes, these are not things I can do if I am fat. Not comfortably anyway. I also just want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and not dislike everything I see. Weight is only…

Thanks for the feedback, everybody! Who knew everyone had such a vested interest in poop? I'm gonna give it a try and report back in a few weeks.

^^^^YEP to the food prep.

Good tricks, Wii_Player! And nice job on your progress!

Very true. It's not just about losing weight, but changing your relationship with food, and even with the outside world.

Thanks @rnohou2010! I've had one minor plateau, but managed to bust through it by changing up the workout routine a bit. I think it will get tougher as I get lower, particularly when I move from 'obese' to overweight' and then 'normal.' About 10 pounds to go until I'm in a different bmi category!

I cleaned a whole bunch of saggy, tired, unflattering fat clothes out of my closet and took them to Goodwill. I have space now for new clothes! I am now fitting into my smallest existing items (with one exceptional piece that will take a while to shrink back into), and will soon need to buy some new clothes. Not that I'm…

Jelly Belly jelly beans. I can eat 1000s of calories worth of them in a single sitting. I have not had jelly beans in many months, but they will forever be my bad food love. I love you, jelly beans, but I can't be with you anymore... :'(

I hear ya. I love veggies, but am very quickly bored with salads. It doesn't really matter how well garnished the salad is; it's still a bowl full of leaves and I would rather eat something else. So, I do. Lots of other kinds of veggies (mushrooms, carrots, brussel sprouts, peppers, squash and zucchini, onions, etc...).…

Thanks, guys! Some very helpful answers here.

Thanks oilphins! That is what I was looking for- an actual test of some sort. The other feedback is helpful, too. I intentionally underestimate the amount of time I spend exercising in order to control for little breather moments, waiting at intersections, etc... I just wasn't sure beyond that if I could trust the count.

I have been able to use my lunch break at work for taking a very brisk half-hour walk, then walking on both breaks and taking 5-7 sets of stairs 3 or 4 times a day. I work 4-10s with a 2-3 hour commute, so before and after are just shot for me and useless for exercise. As soon as I get home, I eat dinner and go to bed and…

Hi! Something that has helped me is to load my plate with what I want to eat, and when I am done with that follow it up with a big cup of tea or coffee. That way I am much less tempted to follow my food with more food. Also, don't let things sit out to be picked at. As soon as dinner is done, wrap it up and put it away.…
