you should definetely watch your sodium and limit it to 2 g/day. with high bp look into the DASH diet. also talk to your cardiologist so that you understand your condition better, maybe take a parent or a trusted friend to the appointment with you.

I'm minimizing sugar (except in my morning coffee) and salt for the last few months, the other day I had a small cup of ice cream and WOW it was almost unbearably sweet. Went to a company picnic and loaded my hamburger with about 5 pieces of lettuce, 3 slices of tomatos, onions, etc. It was an average dice quarter pounder…

was 1700 you basal metabolic energy requirement? it certainly depends on your weight, height, sex, age. My 90 year old grandma who's 4'10" can get by on 1000 kcal per day easily. I can't though :-)

Talking as a guy, I would not care much if you lost 50 pounds before. There's nothing negative in that. it shows you are health conscious and motivated.

there's a recipe for a protein mouse that I found: 6 oz almond milk 3 Tbsp egg white 1.5 cup frozen strawberry 3 scoops whey powder combine together and mix with a tabletop mixer for about 6-8 minutes. (don't use a blender!) the resulting mousse is 450-500 calories but is extremely filling. (feels like earing 1500 calories…

And I can cycle longer (3+ hrs) at a time than jog (about 1 hr). However my butt gets sore on long rides even with a soft seat and…

I weigh myself every day, first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, I like to monitor the day to day fluctuations in my weight, but I don't get upset if my weight goes up by 1 or 2 or 3 pounds, it's the general trend line (over a period of several weeks) I'm looking at.

consider medical tourism. you can probably get the same surgery, including airfare, hotel stay, etc. at a reputable foreign, english speaking medical center in asia or south America for under $5000. Google medical tourism / plastic surgery online. make sure you find a well reviewed, reputable clinic/medical center.

I just slice them up into 1/4 inch or so slices and grill / lightly fry (max 1 tsp of oil on a pan) them with Pam and sprinkle some salt on them and after they're done on both sides eat them with a bit of reduced fat sour cream (30 Cal/Tbsp). Just like my grandma used to make.

not an expert by far but I think hypertrophy refers to lifting heavy at low set/rep ranges in order for the muscles to get bigger quickly, as opposed to more reps with lower weights for other strength training
