iv we started sl 5x5 about 2 mo ago...mostly as a way to avoid losing muscle and getting weaker as I lose weight..would be glad to meet friends

youll pee out that water weight really quickly, I bet in 2 weeks you will lose all that weight and much more

I find jogging easier than walking at 4.5. 5 mph is a good starting jog pace.

Just wanted to update. I am now down to 168 after 5 months. I am at my lowest weight in 10 years. Still have some ways to go. Aiming for 10% bf, and a six pack by winter vacation.

Hey I'm also focusing on losing fat. I'm about 22-23% now. When I started 5 month ago I was 32-33%.y I've also lost 40 pounds. I am trying to get to 10% by next summer. I'm more than 20 years younger than you and about your height. For me 2.5 mph - slow to moderate walk, 3 mph is moderate speed, 3.5-4 mph is a fast walk. At 4.5 mph it become easier to jog than walk for me. 5 mph is a slow jog. 6 mph is a moderate jog, etc.

are you "eating back" your exercise calories, if you are consider that most machines and measurements rend to overestimate calories burned sometimes by 20-30% or more

celery, cucumbers, pickles, baby carrots, tomatoes, maybe apples

I include junk food when I eat it. But i try to limit it to occasional and very small portions, like I'll eat a donut at work once a week with coffee, but I'll stop myself from earing 3 donuts or 2 muffins like I used to before. I also stopped buying calorie dense foods I used to eat a lot of like cheese, bacon, cake.

what? my fave ice cream flavors are rocky road/ ben and Jerry's new york fudge chunk which is like 400 calories per cup or something and low fat strawberry frozen yogurt which is like 80 calories per pop

my god some of those crossfit fails were horrifying

get rid of fatty snacks. snack on carrots, celery, cucumbets,etc. I have a thing for pastries so I try to minimize calorie dense foods around the house. and of course drink water.
