Jogging Treadmill Speed

Hey MFP peeps!
I'm hoping some of you could get me on the right step of slowly starting a light jog on my treadmill. For instance, what speed do I need to be for a light jog? And how do I work my way up to that?
I'm not new to power walking or a treadmill. In fact, I'm now going 3.5 mph on my treadmill at a 9% incline for about 20 minutes.
Years ago I was hitting it hard. 10% incline at 3 mph for nearly an hour or longer. Then work happened (company sold out to another) and my toned body went down the toilet. Now I'm overweight (not by much), again, but I signed up for The Biggest Loser challenge here and it's coming off. Then my feet were in severe pain and found out I have equines deformity in both my feet.
So that took over 6 months to get over. Had to get my legs used to the steady momentum of the treadmill while making my feet have all the proper everything and exercises they need.
And so, because of my feet, had decided to start off by moving up on the incline by 1% every two weeks. Sunday will be 10% and two weeks from then I was wanting to get my incline back to 0% then try to start a light easy jog.
I also use my treadmill after my other various cardio exercises and strength training. That way my legs are limber. Then on the treadmill I still warm up with a light walk about 10 minutes (roughly) then cool off for 5 minutes. Or longer if I feel my body needs it.
On another note, because of my equines deformity, my podiatrist told me I could never walk at an incline because it will hurt my feet. I've been going strong, bought different shoes, inserts, compression sleeves, boots, kept up with my exercises and the pain is gone. My feet haven't felt this great in years.

Just increase the speed until walking feels ackward and start there. That is probably around 4 mph.0

Ok. So I'm not to far from it then. Thanks Waffle. Name reminds me of the Teen Titans Go episode where all Beast Boy and Cyborg say is "Waffles". And I can tell when my husband has watched the episode cause he'll just say, "Waffles!"0 -
I find jogging easier than walking at 4.5. 5 mph is a good starting jog pace.0

I jog around 4.5, it's easier to jog than trying keep up walking that fast.0

No one can tell you, it dpends on height, weight, how your body is built. Experiment a bit.0
