5'5", 32 yo female, 138-141lbs-- I eat anywhere from 1400 to 2000 calories. I run approximately 25 miles/week and it ratchets my appetite WAY up. If I wake up weighing 142lbs, though, I have a light day.

Me, too. Haha. I read that and thought, "Well damn, I was being smart over Xmas and didn't even realize it!" :)

This has surprised me, too! I've hit a few mild "plateaus" but I can always attribute them to eating too many calories. Sometimes, that's ok- I was feeling hungry after workouts or I went on vacation, etc. When I tightened up my CICO, the weight started coming off again. This surprises me about how easy it is in that there…

^^ I love this!! I'll be 32 in a few months and after having my babies I jumped right into the mindset of "you're done having babies but you don't need to look like you stopped caring about yourself." I'm surprised by how sexy I feel losing the weight, and now I get to celebrate being a "yummy mummy" instead of hating my…

Gained 60lbs with both babies. Never quite lost all the weight from baby number one (still had about 15lbs to pre-preg weight, 25lbs to goal weight) before getting pregnant with baby number two. At exactly nine months pp, I'm under my pre-pregnancy weight with baby number two and I'm about 13lbs from my pre-pre baby…

That happened to me after a recent vacation! I did log and I realized on the days I thought I was REALLY pigging out, I was barely eating above maintenance, if that. It might've *felt* more sinful because I was eating total junk food, but I was still watching my portions because to be honest it just doesn't feel good,…

As long as I'm within my calorie limits, I'm fine with them. Mine come from whole foods, and they're unavoidable as far as the foods I like to eat. I consider them the "good fat," whether the latest studies agree or not. :) I seem to do better upping my fats over my carbs for energy, and most of mine are saturated.

10lbs to get em up, 15lbs to get em zipped!

Bread, rice, pasta, coffee creamer. I don't eat any regularly, but have them when I want and they fit my caloric budget. Otherwise they're not worth the calories or the lack of nutritional value.

Omg! Just did w5d1 and, you guys, *kitten* JUST GOT REAL!!! I did it, but now I can't look ahead, anymore, because I'll chicken out!!! Yaaaayyyy!!!

So, stupid question time-- how often should I adjust my BMR? If it's currently at 1550 but I want to lose 25 more pounds, should I be eating the BMR for the weight I want to be? I agree that I don't have a huge amount to lose before I hit my first goal, and I'm not in a hurry to get there, but I'm just hoping to see some…

I think this raises important points for people who exercise themselves to death, but I'm burning 500 calories TOPS when I exercise. I listen to my body, too- I wouldn't let myself get to the point of headaches or even grouchiness before I grabbed a banana or some toast!
-
I'm listed at 1554 BMR, and MFP has me at 1900 for maintenance.
-
Should add I eat back my under-reported exercise calories when I'm at 1200.

You sound like me! I finally had to relax on the macros because I was getting obsessive about carbs, and after I added jogging in 4-5x week, the lack of carbs was making me very grouchy, I think. What I found made me feel full was high (saturated) fats, moderate-high protein, moderate-low carbs. Some days I have 50 carbs,…

I can out-eat most of the men I know. Part of it's a mental solution (tell myself to staaaahp eeeeating!), and part of it is planning (so I know exactly what I'm going to eat and only prepare as much as I need), and part of it is eating a boat-load of veggies, which are very, very filling.

I've found Fage has less of that "tang" that sometimes makes Greek yogurt a little abrasive. I'm personally a fan of that flavor, but not so much in the morning, sometimes. Get the plain Fage 0% or 2% and add your own high-quality honey or jam to it. Or mash up a banana in it, or some sunflower or peanut butter.

If it's a social life that's killing your diet, you might help yourself by declaring your intentions for what you put in your mouth out loud before all the fun even begins. I know I sometimes feel awkward being the person who reminds everyone that I'm trying to lose weight, but I'm also prideful/stubborn enough to not sit…
