I started WW in 2012 and managed to lose 40 lbs. I fell off the wagon and gained back almost 30 of that over the last few years and recently (end of July) I started tracking faithfully on MFP and I am loving it so much more than WW. I have come to the conclusion that MFP works better for me for 2 reasons. 1. WW has a…

If you live in an area that is close to rural areas you may be able to find local farm raised beef or pork. We buy a side of beef every year from a farmer we know. He raises grass fed beef, no antibiotics/hormones...he also processes it himself...by processing I mean he kills and butchers the cow himself. Nothing added…

My husband and I raise chickens and always have an abundance of eggs...I eat a minimum of 2 per day and sometimes 3 or even 4 if I eat them for 2 different meals.

My grandmother lived by the adage "All things in moderation." She lived to be 92 years old, was completely independent and never spent a night in the hospital until 3 days before she died...even gave birth to her kids at home. I have come to believe it is the secret to all of life.

I use my laptop in the kitchen all the time...just take it in with you and log before you eat. Every night I sit down, at my laptop, and pre-log my breakfast and lunch for the next day. Then when I get home from work I have my phone or my laptop in the kitchen with me as I'm cooking and I pre-log my dinner before I eat it.…

No...and if anyone else tells you they have success with waist trainers it's because they are actually reducing their waist through eating at a calorie deficit.

Now that I looked at the recipe I see that did not answer your question, lol. I would guess maybe an hour as she said "while the beans cool down".

I never soak pinto beans overnight. If you put them in a pot with 2 quarts of water. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes then let set for 2 hours. Then they can be cooked however you intend to.

I will echo Lounmoun and say my food scale. 50 grams of avocado is so much smaller than what I was estimating before I got the scale!
-
I haven't bought them in forever but I liked them when I did buy them.
-
My favorite ways to eat avocado...1/2 an avocado spread on 2 slices of toast with an over easy egg on top...HEAVEN...if you have plenty of calories add a couple slices of bacon between the avocado and egg...OMG!!! I also love to replace mayo with avocado in tuna, egg or chicken salad...holy deliciousness!!!

I have open diaries and sent you a friend request.

It's not eggs for buns...it's two pieces of whole wheat toast with avocado, bacon and fried egg on top...and fried potatoes of course!!

Dinner is always my biggest meal of the day. I usually eat between 1350 - 1500 calories per day and dinner is typically almost 1/2 of those calories. This was last night's 810 calorie meal...
-
1290 is what MFP gave me as a goal...I eat back 50% - 75% of my exercise calories....most days net between 1350 - 1500 calories.
-
Definitely...everytime I see a new low # on the scale I can count on 3 - 4 days being above that number, sometimes even more and then BAM, another new low #. This happens even if I stay on track calorie wise. I weigh every morning and I have observed this trend throughout my whole weight loss journey.

I'm from Northern Alabama so very close to Nashville. Also a former WW'er who is loving MFP!
-
I'm an ex WW'er also. I lost a good bit of weight on the old Points Plus plan but this new Smart Points is NOT for me. I lost weight on it but it is so restrictive that I couldn't stick to it. I have been on MFP for a little over a month now and I am loving it. I love that counting calories is just that...there is no…

Against...but also against arguing about it. Rarely have I seen anyone's opinion changed about flu shots by having a "discussion" with someone of the opposing opinion.

Avocado toast with a fried egg on top!!! I eat it for breakfast or dinner at least twice a week.

Could it be a reaction to Xylitol? Did they use it the first time you went to the dentist?
-
Breakfast - coffee and egg salad sandwich Lunch - Turkey sandwich, watermelon and plums Dinner - Grilled chicken breast, roasted brussel sprouts & carrots
-
I usually have a piece of fruit between lunch and dinner, maybe around 2:30 or so. Sometimes I have something after dinner, probably more dessert than snack...but always within my calorie goal.
-
90% saver but I'm perfectly willing and happy to spend $$$ on travel/vacations. The 90% saver part has allowed my husband and I to be completely debt free, including our home...which leaves us alot more $$$ for vaca!!
-
Coffee, then egg sandwich and banana for breakfast, turkey sandwich and 2 rice cakes for lunch and my husband is grilling a whole, spatchcocked chicken for dinner with corn on the cob, zucchini and okra.
-
I had 5 of the Chocolate Crunch ones.
-
It was nothing like described...more like mindless eating...had two popcorn cakes planned and then went back 3 more times and got another one...it's that time of the month...2 months ago it would have been ice cream and chips so I'm proud I made a better choice and kept it reasonable.
-
Mostly joking but I did eat a few more than I had planned...tracked them and we're all good.
-
Got it...thank you so much!

I never look at the nutrition tab until I finish my day. 90% of the time I find I stay within the recommended limits of macros without even trying...well, fairly close. I have to continue tracking calories though...I am horrible at judging that.
