@NewOR2015 - Thank you! Yes it does feel great. @livingyoung28 - I haven't heard anything from Kris. I did see that she logged in recently, though. The Barre class was interesting and I will be doing it again tomorrow.

I weighed in this morning at 185.4. I have officially lost .2 since my last weigh in but even more exciting, is that I lost all of the weight I had gained over Thanksgiving and Christmas (about 2-3 pounds).

I just got back from trying a Barre3 class for the first time! I had purchased a voucher on Groupon for four classes and I was actually very intimated when I first got there. The class is a combination of Pilates and ballet-type movements, using that bar that goes around the room. I do some pretty heavy weight lifting…

These are some wonderful goals! I have been reflecting on this topic for the past couple of days and what I have come up with is: 1) Lose 26 pounds to get to my goal weight of 160 and be approximately 24% body fat (or less). 2) File for my educational administration credential - it's time to move out of the classroom and…

I started my fitness/fat loss journey at the beginning of June, so I am to about 6 1/2 months so far. I am looking forward to taking this journey through the next year. I hope Kris is okay. Has anyone sent her a private message?

One more week left of 2015. We can do this ladies! 2015 has been a great year for me but I am definitely excited about all of the great things that 2016 will have in store.

@JMarcella57 - way to go! I am super close to having my BMI out of the obese range, so I am looking forward to that. I am also looking forward to having a healthy body fat percentage. I am waiting for my body half to catch up with the rest of me, as that seems to be where my fat is just clinging to right now. I feel like a…

@JocelynDeshane, where did you go for that macro calculator? I would love to try it out for myself. Thanks! :)

I am heading out of town tomorrow morning with my husband and brother-in-law to visit my parents in my hometown until Sunday. I won't have regular Internet access and am hoping I can at least log in to access my streak, as I am nearing 200 days of logging. I will try to keep my wits about me in terms of food and getting…

Thanks for the ideas! It's a bit better today so I was able to get a good workout in. It is something that I have been struggling with since I started. I think my hips need more stretching/strengthening work done. I have a great massage therapist I see for such things but she is unavailable this week.

Since I started my fitness journey, I have also started having hip pain in the my left hip. I am not sure if it is because of muscle tightness/soreness but it can be debilitating at times, like today. I am currently sitting on a heating pad. I have taken ibuprofen and did some stretches earlier. Do any of you have any…

I am officially on Winter Break and my eating hasn't been great. I have gone out the last couple nights in a row with friends. My exercise has been consistent though, so I will keep that up. I got in five workouts over the week, including three days of strength training. After the holidays are over I will be working on…

California teacher here! I would also love to have some friends in the field. :) Feel free to add me.

@irishsungirl - I can totally to relate to how you are feeling. I have recently noticed that when I am in need of self care, my first instinct is to gorge myself on something salty with some wine. Those are my comfort items. I am struggling with it bad today. I am logging everything today though, as I went off the rails a…

I am definitely in - please add me to the group, as I couldn't find it under "groups." My name is Trish and I am 30 years old, married to an adorable nerd from India, and live in California's Silicon Valley. Since June of this year, I have worked my butt literally off and have lost 41 pounds. I am 186 right now and have…

I never acknowledged it until recently, but I dealt with binge eating since childhood. In the past 6 months, I have lost 40 pounds through calorie restriction and exercise. I struggled everyday to not go overboard. We had a holiday luncheon at work today and had 1 plate of food and a small plate of dessert. I am proud of…

He is usually responsive and then will make an effort to attend meditation on the weekends. Worrying about everything isn't going to change anything. When you respond, just be clear, firm, but respectful. It sounds like this woman needs to just chill out! :)

@KrisM111 - oh those kind of people can be exhausting! I think it is important that you set boundaries - physically and verbally. Let her know that while you understand her frustration, you need her to not come to you with such news, frustrations, etc. Maybe recommend she talk to someone professionally or a religious…

@JMarcella57 - if I don't get a full night's sleep, my weight fluctuates significantly. Unfortunately I am a very light sleeper, married to someone who could sleep through an atomic blast. He moves too much and makes too much noise. He is going out of town for a few days starting tomorrow so I am looking forward to getting…

@JMarcella57 - thank you! @BeautyNovice - great job keeping up your routine!

Hello everyone! I did meet my goal last week of working out five days during the week. I did Monday - Thursday and then Saturday. My goal this week is to continue working out at least five days per week. I would like to work on my eating a bit as well, as the holidays and my brother in law's visit have brought a lot of…

What is everyone doing this weekend? We are heading to Napa today with my brother in law and some friends. Tomorrow I am planning on baking homemade gingersnap cookies for my Secret Pal at work.
-
@AllieUK - I have seen the movie as well and it's a good one. Netflix has some great food and health related documentaries. I find them very fascinating. "Fed Up" is one of my favorites. It is important to remember, however, to take it all with a grain of salt. Each one of these documentaries has a bias of some kind.…

So I didn't make it to the gym this morning. I woke up with a headache (from taking a sleep aid last night) and my thighs still hurting from Wednesday's leg day. So I decided to listen to my body and sleep in a little more today. On the plus side, today is exactly 6 months since I started consistently logging with MFP!…

Aside from #sweatergate2015, I am doing well. I have worked out for four straight mornings in a row and going for my fifth tomorrow morning. I am out and about on Saturday and baking/cooking Sunday, so I wanted to make sure I got in a decent amount of exercise this week. My food choices are good too.
-
So I was having a good day...until the school secretary confused me for a colleague who is 8 months pregnant. I guess I should have second-guessed my decision to wear a chunky white sweater today.
-
@livingyoung28 - I am so, so sorry for your loss. Please travel safe. Keep us posted.

It's a new day so it's okay. We pick ourselves up and start again. :) I struggle with my husband trying to feed me all of the time. He's enjoying, so he wants me to enjoy as well. I am trying to get him to understand it's okay if I don't partake in treats just because he is. It might be an Indian thing...they are always…

@KrisM111, were you having a stressful day yesterday? Did something trigger your eating? I find that when I don't get enough sleep, I crave carbo loaded foods and can go a little crazy with them.

@JMarcella57 - we have a beautiful neighborhood near our apartment complex where I love to walk in, especially during this time of the year. The big, beautiful homes are decorated for the holidays and the late autumn leaves. I find a good walk very peaceful at times. Good job on the walk today - keep up the good work!
