Sugar free jello with a little bit of fat free cool whip.

@SezxyStef thank you for this, someone needed to say this.

A standard barbell is usually about 7 feet long, with some even longer ones like Texas Squat Bars. I would say if you are already planning to buy one of those barbells, get the one that is 6 feet long so it is at least the most similar of the three to a standard barbell length.

Jeez. I did 15 minutes on the treadmill yesterday at 3.0 speed and 8.0 incline and felt proud of myself haha

@Aliciaaah holy cow, awesome bench! And oh yeah, you could totally blow 275 out of the water on squats now! Definitely going to follow you on IG lol

Thanks girl!

Awesome job on your meet!!

Quick update about my meet that I had on Saturday. I competed in the USPA Western Warrior Powerlifting Challenge in Glendale, Arizona. I went 7 for 9 and ended with a 755 total at 148.2 bodyweight, with a 281.1 squat, 126.7 bench press and 347.1 deadlift for a 350.51 Wilks. This is not the meet I wanted, but I did tie my…

I bench alone all the time. I am not afraid of doing the "roll of shame" if I fail, but I will ask for a spotter once I get to about 85% because it makes handing off and staying in position easier.

This is seriously impressive!

My past week of training started out well but ended poorly (see bench below). I am peaking for a meet so I was hitting heavy doubles last week. Squat 275x2 - a little slow on the last rep, but successful: https://www.instagram.com/p/BBY0PFUwts7/ Deadlift 335x2 - success: (the two reps are pasted together because my phone…

@sara1882000 I am 5'5" :)

Thanks!!

That makes sense. I use "naptime" pauses as bench accessories too, it is very helpful. I was just curious whether USAPL required X-second pauses (or something that every other fed doesn't have) based on the "USAPL passable" comment I saw earlier.

Since my profile picture is so small, I am going to repost it in this comment. It covers the span of six years - overweight (180lbs), then weak and skinny fat by only using cardio to lose weight (~145lbs), and then now currently way stronger and more muscular from powerlifting (155lbs).

Thanks man! Thanks!!

Okay, that's what I thought. After seeing the "pause longer" comments I was curious if USAPL had longer pauses than other feds or something. I have not competed USAPL, and probably never will because I am a spoiled brat and don't want to compete without a deadlift bar lol.

I'm starting to look for my meet attempts, as it seems a lot of other people are doing too! Based on the speed of my 330x2 pull this weekend, I think I will make my first attempt somewhere around 325 and have a second attempt around 345 (or whatever the closest kilos are - maybe 320 and 342ish). We will see how the next…
-
How long does USAPL make people pause??
-
Haha thanks! I think I probably had a shot at 1 more, but I dont know about 2 more lol.
-
Thanks! And best of luck to you too! What meet are you doing? I'm doing the USPA Western Warrior Challenge in Phoenix, AZ.
-
Following! I'm excited to see stuff about your awesome bench!

No shame in videoing haha! Nice work!

PR on squats last night - 270lbs for a set of 3. My best single ever is 281lbs. https://www.instagram.com/p/BBEW3Rtwtp8

I'm a big fan of Dymatize Iso 100. Super great flavor, especially the Birthday Cake and Fudge Brownie, in my opinion. Around 110 calories and 25g protein per scoop, depending on which flavor you get.

Haha thanks

I mainly focus on squats, bench and deadlift because I am a powerlifter. I do use the other lifts as accessory work but I have no idea what my 1RM is for those. EDIT: TL;DR on the big three are: 281lb squat, 135lb bench, 347.1lb deadlift for bests, and I compete at 148.8lbs. Squats: 5RM at 250lbs, 1RM in October was…

Not enough. 135lbs paused single. :(

Haha yep, that is literally how it is. My bench is poverty (like, Class III) but my deadlift is well into Elite territory and nearing International Elite... and unfortunately, the question people ask most when they find out I lift is, "how much do you bench?" :/
