You provably could eat a little more than 1400 a day if you're regularly earning 1200 calories per day in adjustments, though. I thought my numbers were a bit high, too, but I've been eating almost all of them back and still losing more weight per week than expected. It's also possible I'm overestimating on my meals. So if…

Aren't eggplants a form of night shade?

Broccoli is great if you blanch it! Sliced squash in an oven at 350 for 25 minutes comes out good. I've not had much luck with toasting kale, but if you have a dehydrator, you could made a miso paste dressing for your kale and dehydrate it ,but it's something like a snack, and dehydrating is a lengthy process, like crock…

I've not read any of the literature for either 31 or 22 cals, I've just been going by posts on these forums... perhaps a search will come up with a helpful result, but I'm quite lazy

Thank you for your reply, @WBB55 . On my walk today, i spent some time thinking about my actual rate of loss. I think I'm losing 2 lbs a week for the past two months, rather than the 1 lb a week i thought i'd be losing. Last month i lost a about a pound a week until the fourth week, where i lost 1 lb and then another 3 or…

Thanks everyone! :) I've decided to drop to a 250 deficit this coming Monday, and will continue doing "you are your own gym"

Nice pic! I don't know if I am the right person to give you an estimate though, since I myself don't really know what to be looking for.
-
Whee percentages! Lol Thanks everyone! Hmm so i should aim for 160 rather than 165? Alright. <3 to all for taking the time to respond
-
Thanks everyone Yes @bioklutz , 16 lbs till I'm at the high end of normal bmi. I'll keep eating at a deficit until then. Thank you for the links too, @middlehaitch

I agree, moisturizing should be done by everyone, and making it a feminine/masculine practice is rather silly. Cuz, you know, only men lift heavy, and only women care about their weight.

I generally meet or exceed a daily average of 3500 mg potassium weekly. Its supposed to be a fairly important mineral for organ functions. Coconut water has 470ish per 8 fluid oz (approx 45 calories.) Your can also get potassium from some yogurt brands ( not Greek yogurt though ) bananas, potatoes, squash, broccoli,…

Yeah. It reads your weigh ins and determines if you're losing or gaining weight, since daily weight fluctuations can be a little worrying. Seeing a sudden 3-5 lb gain or loss over a few days can throw me off. I'll sometimes wonder if I'm gaining instead of losing, or losing too quickly.

Yes! :-) I am trying to determine whether i should start recomp now or wait till goal weight. I'm overweight according to bmi (37 year old male 5'9" 181 lbs, but 185 according to trendweight) I'm interested in seeing how far off my scale is when it reads my body fat percentage

I did, i like having no ads, and i like how i can go through my nutrition history and see which foods I ate that were highest contributors to that macro/micro

You say you're sabotaging yourself at nights. My question is, are you going over your daily deficit? and by how much? If you have a 1000 cal a day deficit, and you're only eating 500 into it, then you're still at a 500 deficit, which is going to equal weight loss (1 lb rather than 2 per week projected rate) The idea is, by…

Thanks for the great suggestions everyone. My loss hasn't slowed down at all, but from what I've been reading (theoretical 22 cals per lb of body fat per day can be oxidized maximum) then all the weight i'm losing is probably not just fat weight. If my scale is properly reporting my BF% then I should have about 30 lbs of…

Thanks for this info, @ahoy_m8 :) I'm considering lowering my deficit and dropping some cardio to make up for the lowered deficit. Rather than walking 8 miles on work days, I'll do around 4. That should give me 250 calories or thereabouts. I was also considering sticking to 8 miles of walking on work days even at a 250…

Thanks @bpetrosky :) I didn't run the wizard, so I'll manually set the new deficit once I hit my 15 lb mark.

200 calories of low calorie, nutrient dense, high volume food will fill you up more than 200 calories of high calorie low volume food. You'd get to eat 1 lb 4 oz of raw broccoli for 200 calories. Or, you can have a snickers candy bar (a little less than 1.5 oz) for 250 calories

Why would a 40 inch waist be okay for a man ?
-
What makes you want to stop exercising? For me, the benefit of eating more and still maintaining a deficit is enough of a reason to do it every day. Just walking for a few miles will still burn calories and increase your deficit.

I think it's good to be focusing on a healthier lifestyle goal rather than just letting things get further out of control, so, no, it's not pathetic.

^^^^This works for me, as well

Monday-Friday morning ~4 mile walk Mon-Thursday morning 36 min calisthenics (you are your own gym) Mon-Friday evening ~4 mile walk Saturday morning 1 mile walk, 3-4 mile jog 10'24" pace

Thanks for that link. Those pictures helped me guesstimate my body fat percentage. I will ignore my digital scale's gross misrepresentation of my physique.

Well, maybe another day then. I still think the step count may have been accurate :)
-
Ehh? Don't want to? Maybe it really was worth 7000 steps if the thought of doing it again makes you hesitant >:)

Careful with those. You may end up looking like a carrot. Not like I've done this in highschool and had to deal with a week of snickering while waiting for the spray tan to fade, or anything.

Wear black clothing and black lipstick. Draw intricate patterns around your eyes with black eyeliner pencil. Smoke clove cigarettes(optional). Eat at a deficit.
