Congratulations - that is something to celebrate!

Congratulations. You earned it and certainly know what you are doing - so stay confident and take it one day at a time. It takes a lot of courage to show your fears - stay the course. A trainer is a great support system while transitioning to maintenance. Best to you.

Use the baked tostitos. They are so much less calories than regular chips. I like the idea of the carrots above as well. I will sometimes cut the guac with reduced fat sour cream to give it more volume, but still prefer the real deal fresh with red onions and some tomatoes. Allow room for snacks by filling in the calories…

We just had this debate on our tennis group. Those high-dollar really thin ones feel less hot and don't weigh as much when the sweat kicks in. But, the thick ones hold water that some like against the skin as it evaporates. The thicker shirt sleeves also stretch out with more water and start getting longer in the arms.…

"Thank you or thank you for noticing" is simple and usually ends the conversation. Most people have good intentions and know how hard it is to lose weight. If some pry - and there are always those who want to know how many pounds - you can just say I don't know or walk away.

Agree with everyone and in the same boat. Go on maintenance for a while. Enjoy the summer, work out, eat sensibly and try again in the early fall before the holidays start. It's not a race, so you could use the time to learn how to maintain. Stay strong!

Jewish rye seeded. If I'm going to eat bread, I want some taste to it. Great extra toasted with a small pat of butter.

If it's a sweet craving that won't stop, I eat bowl of fave sugary cereal with soy milk. The milk fills you up and you get the sweetness from the cereal. It takes a while to eat, so you get full and kill the crave without too many calories.

The curve balls are good practice for maintaining. Maybe make an "open face" sandwich and eat a little less portion for dinner. Or, as others have said- a nice walk or activity will offset it. It will all work out even if you eat that piece of toast. Stay strong.

Have not seen a difference? Hmmmm..... I will pay attention next time.

Eat or drink your favorites and don't worry about tasting everything. By now, we probably have tried it all and know what most foods taste like. Unless its a new recipe or a new restaurant or a fresh baked pie, just know you are not missing out on anything and enjoy the event.

Tennis is pure fun.

Find support with friends, MFP, WW, online buddy or a fitness coach if you feel like you need accountability. They will help you stay motivated until you gain some confidence back. Time will pass anyway, so take it one pound at a time until you see some results and success builds on itself. Stay strong!

I would not keep asking him to eat better or go for walks. My dh was and is still much a healthier eater that me, but I always resented it when he would try to preach about what food I should eat. I already know what is healthy, and so does your dh most likely - it's hard to not hear it on TV or the internet. When I was on…
