  • Sent mine back because it would not display heart rate while doing cardio. I had to keep taking the control to get the reading. Went with Polar HR for that purpose. My husband's fit bit just bit the dust. Almost one year old. He's going with the Garmin next time.
  • This is so helpful! Makes sense and I believe it. BUT I'm 60, need to lose 30 lbs., on a 1200 calorie program, strength train 3 days a week (MFP says no calories burned with strength training), and Zumba 60 minutes, twice a week. 60 minutes of Zumba is 600 calories. Adding 600 calories to my 1200 allowance seems like a LOT!
  • Doesn't that count, Emily?
  • Ah. I've got three going at one time right now. I'm in book six of the Outlander series but just started the new biography of Dietrich Boenhoffer. For my daily reading for this challenge, I'm trying to spend 20 minutes in Bible reading each morning.
  • Hi everyone! Pam Gilmore here, I know, it's geeky, Mrs.Mathman on My Fitness Pal. Those of you who know me will get it. My Fitness Pal is the greatest app, by the way. Wow! Combine it with a little knowledge from Weight Watchers (portion control) and now this group, we've GOT this, Team! I work out 5 days a week: MWF…
  • Travefan: Have you run an update on your app? I used to get that message but now, when I click complete, it tells me where I should be in 5 weeks.
  • I'm actually wondering if I shouldn't log my hour of cardio work which gives me a 600 calorie bump up. Because when I take that away, I'm 300 calories over instead of 300 calories under, which would make more sense that I wouldn't lose weight in the next 5 weeks. But if that's the case, why log exercise?
