I also had aches in lower back when I started lifting years ago, aslong as your firm is good I don't see any problems, it didn't stay aching for long for me, guess it's just the muscles getting used to it

Well that kind of sounds like a dig, I've been training for over 15 years and not had 1 single injury, I am massive on proper form and posture, always warm up before hand, I train both heavy and light, certainly not a *kitten* boy only training show muscles. Truly at a loss as to where this injury has cropped up from, I…

Thanks for all the input guys, it's very hard for me to stop training, it's just my thing! I have been able to go and train legs, bi's/tri's, and back, I'm leaving well alone my chest and shoulders... anything that involves raising my arms above parallel really. Just want to get my ultra sound done to see what I'm looking…

:o stunning!

Don't have 5-6 meals personally but agree food is the key to any success, screw that up and you may as well not bother in the first place

Well done! Such a difference!!

How tall, what weight? You look like you could get away with abit more weight to me

@ercarroll311 wow!! Hot! Awesome job!

Damn dude! Amazing work!!

Thanks man! I'm really pleased how it's going, I think my back has come from years of rowing previously :)

Sounds like deadlift to me :)

I'm not following a program at the minute, just making sure I get my compound lifts in and work accessories around them. I did have a lot of success from the buff dudes 12 week program, they have just released a bulking program which might be worth a look. As with anything in life though, you will only get back what you…

Thanks guys, makes it all worth the effort when you start to see results!

I'm deadlifting 220k, squatting 150k and benching 110k

A long time since an update, I have been working out more intensely for the last few months, dropping in an extra session where I can. My weight is sitting at around 87k currently (no clothes) all my main compound lifts are at a weight I'm pleased with, over all I'm happy with how things are going. My tracking of calories…

For me personally, 3-4 weeks, my lifts have gone up, I'm loving it, my lats ripped through the back of 1 of my shirts a couple of days ago so I know I'm getting bigger!

Treasure the muscle soreness, after a while it fades to hardly anything

Mines open, but only started logging again yesterday goal is 4K it's not completely healthy

Daaaammmn!!

Good progress man!

Hi SaintSmithy, Cheers for your comments. Are you used to lifting? I wouldnt really recommend the 5x5 program if you are a seasoned lifter, I found it useful only for getting back into lifting, to get a little strength back before hitting some more challenging programs. I would say do the 5x5 for a few weeks to start off…

Thanks man, that's an interesting thought! The program I am following at the moment has just implemented chest twice a week so hopefully I'll see some improvement!

7 months apart!

Normally about an hour before workout I'll have a shake made up of oats, bananas, protein, creatine and milk. After workout I'll have another protein shake followed by lunch which is normally rice and chicken in some kind of sauce.

I tried this 6 week program, it made huge difference, it's abit gruelling but worth a shot! http://youtu.be/KXc2WFi4oLw I still chuck day 1 in when I have a spare day in my current program.

1. I use protein dynamix: dynapro anytime, fav flavour is banana. 2. Same as above but I mix in oats and bananas.

I was at 76kg when I started my bulk, go for it!

When I was taking creatine, the things j noticed were, additional weight (water) looked incredibly vascular with a pump, I don't think I can say it helped with lifting, if it did it would have only been a slight difference. I have had a few variations, I prefer the powder type that can be mixed into any drink (it's…

Hey all, so I'm almost at my goal weight of 14 stone :D!!!! I thought I'd update with some pics! Started the 12 week program by the buff dudes over at buffdudes.us yesterday, I'm hoping to see some good progress in the next few months.
