I ordered the Lighter Choices Sirloin at Chili's and was satisfied after eating half of it. Took the rest home.

Nobody tells you that you'll need a billion pieces of tupperware in all shapes and sizes.

Just lost 40 lbs (196 to 156) in a few months grocery shopping 3 times a week at 3 different stores, in the kitchen for 2 hours a day (cooking, meal prepping, dishes, etc.), and going to the gym 5 days a week, and all the ladies be like "it's so easy for men to lose weight." :|

What an excellent piece of literature.

After losing 35, I started just counting in my head. Have lost 2 more lbs since.

For Italian dishes, spaghetti squash is a good substitute. For Asian dishes, shirataki noodles are a good substitute.

What is the issue? What's your thought process when you are feeling unmotivated?

Do the hard work at the grocery store! Don't purchase/have junk laying around the house and then most of your hard decisions are made for you!

What kind of foods are you eating? For most lifestyles, home cooking and raw foods are essential because you need to plan at least one day ahead. If I don't make my meals ahead of time, then I have to go to the cafeteria, restaurant, fast food, etc. where I'm going to make higher calorie choices that don't keep me full…

They have. Coca Cola owns a ton of non-soda areas of the market. So does Pepsi.

Feel free to add me. I've lost 31 lbs with MFP, cooking, and exercise.

Oklahoma, but from Cali.

Make your meals ahead of time so you never have to spontaneously decide what to eat. If you leave it up to yourself to make decisions on the fly, you will probably not make the best decisions. Try to cook 2-3 days in advance and log as much as you can ahead of time. You are more likely to stick to your plans that way.

No it's not healthy. You're basically only eating carbs and not the good kind. If you want to do 1200 cal, you should eat 1200-1300 quality cals, not less. You need a balanced diet to be healthy. Eating only carbs is one of the worst diets you can have and will basically guarantee major health problems unless you are…

Yeah, pretty much everytime I do it on my phone (iPhone so probably same as iPad), it takes a bit to update.

There's an easier way that doesn't require any math. Just weigh all ingredients and build a recipe on MFP, which will automatically calculate all your macros. Then divide into portions (doesn't matter how big as long as each portion is more or less equal). I usually use half a cup or a cup depending on if it is a side or…

I'm male, but my goal is 150, so I had to lose 46 lbs. Lost 31 so far.

This. Sometimes I do cups just to see how inaccurate it is in comparison to using the scale and it is almost always super inaccurate. Plus a scale lets you not worry about things like how densely packed it is, etc.

Quality calories are still calories. You'll no doubt be healthier, but if losing weight is your goal, calories matter.

Alcohol isn't just calories. It also affects rigid decision-making, discipline, and willpower. It's a lot harder to do a ton of dishes, laundry, cooking, gym bag, etc. prepping for the next healthy day if I'm intoxicated. And then the next day I'm much more likely to skip the gym, even if I'm not hung over because I still…

When I go pick up food for the office and don't order anything for myself, because I already carefully prepared/weighed my lunch the night before. Then I live vicariously through them while they eat their McAlister's.

What time of day are you weighing? If I don't weigh as soon as I get up, I can fluctuate 5 lbs throughout the day. Also, how many of your exercise calories are you eating back? Most people recommend eating only half back to account for inaccuracies, inconsistencies, etc. I don't even eat them back most of the time. Some…

Every morning.

Make yummy food ahead of time in small portions so you don't have to make decisions while hungry. I usually make some huge delicious thing (meat/veggies, no oil, etc.) then portion it out into 200 calorie tupperware servings. At any given time I have at least 5-10 200 cal servings in my fridge and many 25-100 cal…
