  • I think I'll lose weight by getting more healthy. My body isn't used to not exercising and eating unhealthily. The exercise was not under my control because of my heart condition and surgeries but I started eating badly and I'm now cleared to do some exercise so I'll start by doing a little every day and eliminating some…
  • I'm working with my cardiologist to figure out a safe way for me to do cardio. I have heart disease and walking uphill can cause my heart to reach 194 which is very dangerous. However, I'm on new medicine so, fingers crossed, I will be able to tolerate much more now
  • These are all really helpful. Especially #2. I like seeing fast results, which is why I restrict so much. And the worst part is that I've successfully lost a lot of weight extremely fast before. But when you put it like that, I guess a year isn't all that long. And I don't want to have to restrict forever to keep up with…
  • I tend to binge then restrict a lot. It's hard for me to start weight loss without a lot of restriction but I'll remember to be realistic and not try to lose it all in a couple weeks like I've done before. Thank you!!
  • That's really helpful. Thanks!
  • Thank you!! The scale has always been my biggest enemy, I needed that.
  • Binge and restrict for me. However I had three surgeries which eliminated exercise for a while so it's been mostly binging and I now also need to lose about 60 lbs.
  • The same thing happens with me and caffeine. Resting heart rate is 65 and when I have caffeine or even sometimes just randomly throughout the day my heart will palpitate up to 165.
  • That's really helpful, I'll increase my calorie intake, thanks!
  • I'll avoid high intensity exercises until I see him. And I'll definitely let you all know what he says, thanks for the support!
  • Yes, I do have anxiety as well. Sometimes I can tell the difference when it's MVP and when it's anxiety and 80% of the time it's anxiety I would say. I'll wait until I get cleared. Thanks!
  • I'm 5'3 I'll raise it to 1200, thank you!
  • Thanks! I'll do that. Do you happen to know anything about losing weight with MVP, I'm not sure if your son has ever had to do lose weight or wanted to. But my calorie goal is 1,000. I'm 21 years old by the way and 5'3 170 lbs
  • Yes this does help. I'm trying to lose weight and lowered my calorie goal to 1,000. I'm not sure if this may be too little for someone with heart disease. I also want to do spinning classes for about 45 mins. I know aerobic exercise is good with MVP but I'm not sure if it's too intense. Walking seems like a great idea…
  • Please add me! :) I could really use advice and support on this
