I am very sorry for your loss. Please be kind to yourself and your body.

I never understand on these posts why no one seems to share my reason that I weigh my food. I can't be the only one who finds this to be true . . . When I guess/eyeball/choose the highest entry I lose faster than expected but end up REALLY hungry and miserable. For me, weighing my food takes the guesswork out and means I…

You can add it daily as a negative adjustment in your food diary OR you can add it as exercise. Either way you get more food! Since the common advice around here is to only eat back a portion of your exercise calories, I chose to use the negative adjustment in my food diary to make sure to eat them back for supply's sake.

It is your partner's role to support your healthy choices. If you show him your food diary and he is still concerned, then take his concern at face value (instead of being critical of his concern) and make an appointment with a doctor to check your plan. It is not a partner's role to chearlead unconditionally. That could…

This is my plan!

Thanks everyone for your responses: they are what I knew somewhere in the back of my brain. I was just hoping that carrying around what is basically my starting weight for a couple of hours a day would maintain that muscle (wishful thinking). Thanks for the video suggestions: I will shift exercise priorities earlier than I…

You are already at a normal weight so your body has fewer stores to rely on for milk supply. Depending on baby's needs (age), I would not restrict calories if I were you. If you are determined to lose those last five pounds now, then you should talk to a lactation consultant. Your nutritional needs are different because of…

I am breastfeeding an eight month old so she is no longer exclusively breastfed. I used MFP to calculate my calories for one pound per week weight loss (I am obese). I'm estimating 3/4 of her intake is breast milk so I give myself 3/4 of the Exclusive Breastfeeding entry in my food diary. I don't like using it as an…

I used the numbers calculated by MFP to lose one pound per week and then added calories via a negative food entry (look up exclusive breastfeeding under food) of 500 calories. I try to eat back 100% of my exercise calories. The reality is that your goal will have to be dynamic: it will change as you lose weight and as baby…

Please see a lactation consultant if you haven't yet: I hope you get some good answers and help. You are unlikely to get enough fenugreek with tea: high dose supplements are necessary to increase. Best of luck: I nursed my babies until 15 months, 26 months and my third child is 7 months old and nursing well.

How do you know your supply is decreasing? Is your baby hungry/not getting enough? I have MFP set to lose 1lb/week, add 375 calories for breastfeeding a 7month old, and eat back between 50 and 100% of exercise. I'm losing slightly more than one pound per week and baby isn't hungry/refusing the breast. During breastfeeding…

You can add exclusive breastfeeding under food and it adds 500 calories under that title.
