Bench dips, bar dips, overhead dumbbell extension, dumbbell kickbacks, cable push downs, tricep push ups, close grip bench press, skull crushers. Make sure you're doing enough tricep exercises also, many people just do one and think that that is sufficient enough. The tricep consists of 3 heads (hence tri) and when you…

Leg muscles are huge and use up a lot of energy when you specifically target them, especially when you do quads and hamstrings in the same day.

I go commando or I also have the shorts with the built in underwear as well, but even those I find sometimes ride up.I don't wear anything underneath my yoga pants and spandex.

It goes along the same lines of "wait an hour after eating before swimming." You shouldn't eat a full course meal right before going in to workout, but you should eat something because your body needs energy to perform. I'll usually eat a carb/protein snack (fruit or oatmeal and peanut butter or whey protein) about 30…

Cellucor , MusclePharm, BSN, Beast Performance, Optimum Nutrition are all good ones

Especially since you are an ex athlete, I would definitely recommend eating more and exercising in order to get a calorie deficit. 1200-1400 calories a day is not really enough for your body to function, you will have that immediate weight loss, but then plateau. Try retracing your actual activity as well, just like with…

The best and most accurate ways (hydrostatic weighing, DEXA, BodPod) are expensive, time consuming, require being performed by a professional, and hard to find. Calipers have a lot of room for user error and bio electrical impedance has a lot of variables that can affect it. But both of these are cheap and easy, most gyms…

BEIA are another one of those "quick, cheap, easy" it will give you an estimate with about a 2% deviation (so if it says you are 20%, you could be 18% or 22%).

There is no reason you should be eating as low as 1000. Even at 1200, you are probably below your maintenance. Your body needs more energy to survive and it needs even more if you are going to workout on top of that. One of the reasons you probably go way overboard if you eat more is because your body does in fact need…

Congrats!!! Awesome work! Those non scale victories are sometimes better feeling than actual scale weight.

People tell me that I'm too skinny all the time and to "stop working out so much" or "eat a donut." I don't workout and eat the way I do to be skinny and small, I do it because I want to be healthy and I am actually trying to gain muscle and a little bit of weight. Some don't realize it's just as hard to gain weight as it…

Lots and lots of veggies! With every meal, do about 3/4 plate veggies and 1/4 protein. Hard boiled eggs are great snacks and eggs cooked any way are a great option for breakfast.

Does not matter if you eat 6 meals a day or 3. It is whatever works for you.

Dieting is just bad in general; it signifies an end and when it ends, you will then go back to the way things were before. You need to make a lifestyle change and something you are happy with and can do long term/for the rest of your life. Also, eating only 1000 calories a day, you're body is probably in starvation mode so…

I'm 23! I used to always be the bigger/awkward girl in my group of friends. Not so much the bigger, but still the awkward one :s

"On Blast" and "On Swole" don't really have a difference. But their "Gut check" and "Circuit" workouts are more for weight training/cardio circuits for fat burning

I second Pop Pilates and FitnessBlender. I also like bodyrock.tv (you have to search, but you can find some of their older stuff which is all bodyweight work).

You should follow a routine for at least a few weeks, otherwise your body will not have time to adapt and though you may feel like you are getting in a good workout, you are not making the progress and strength gains that you could. Trying to lift more/competing with yourself is a good way to not get bored.

The first few times in the weight area, I was nervous. Now, when I'm in there, I'm just one of the guys. Get in, do your workout, get out. I've never had issues. Actually, my only issue is when someone compliments me on my workout/work ethic between sets, so really, not an issue.

The best time to workout is the time that you will workout. For just general health and wellness, time doesn't matter, as long as you do it. For me in particular, I am very busy so I workout in the mornings to get it in and I also feel as though it is a great way to start my day.

Absolutely amazing job!

Peanut butter on rice cakes Veggies and hummus Fruit Protein shake Hard boiled eggs Greek yogurt with fruit or honey

When I start to feel hungry, I drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes to sees if I was actual hungry or just thirsty or bored. I always keep my water bottle next to me. You're more likely to drink it if it's there and you see it. Drink coffee and tea plain with nothing added. Meal prep or at least prep snacks and easy…

I'm particular to Quest, but Combat Crunch is another good brand if you are looking something else. I've really gotten into making my own though, I know what goes in it and much cheaper as well
