Extreme hunger after leg workout...

does anyone experience extreme hunger cues after a gruelling leg workout consisting of squats, deadlifts, lunges etc?

    Always even when I eat shortly before. I have something with a lot of protein afterwards and make sure anything else I have that day is high protein/fat so it's more filling.

    I get super hungry after jogging.

    On squats/leg day I can eat a horse if I could :(

    Legs are big muscles, they consume lot of energy hence you need to replenish these muscles in a form of eating load of calories in return.

    It's really hard on the days when you're in deficit for cutting.

    So much this. Except I've been maintaining for a year after bulking for a year and only have dim memories of how sucky leg day hunger is on a deficit. I just eat to appetite and it sorts itself out.

    Agreed! Leg days hunger while on deficit should be declared as a viable torture method.
  • Leg muscles are huge and use up a lot of energy when you specifically target them, especially when you do quads and hamstrings in the same day.

    Especially true when you work legs twice a week...glute focus and quad focus
