Extreme hunger after leg workout...

does anyone experience extreme hunger cues after a gruelling leg workout consisting of squats, deadlifts, lunges etc?

Always even when I eat shortly before. I have something with a lot of protein afterwards and make sure anything else I have that day is high protein/fat so it's more filling.0

On squats/leg day I can eat a horse if I could
Legs are big muscles, they consume lot of energy hence you need to replenish these muscles in a form of eating load of calories in return.
It's really hard on the days when you're in deficit for cutting.

Legs are big muscles, they consume lot of energy hence you need to replenish these muscles in a form of eating load of calories in return.
It's really hard on the days when you're in deficit for cutting.
So much this. Except I've been maintaining for a year after bulking for a year and only have dim memories of how sucky leg day hunger is on a deficit. I just eat to appetite and it sorts itself out.

Agreed! Leg days hunger while on deficit should be declared as a viable torture method.0 -
Leg muscles are huge and use up a lot of energy when you specifically target them, especially when you do quads and hamstrings in the same day.

Especially true when you work legs twice a week...glute focus and quad focus0
