  • I've been doing Keto since May and have been hovering around a 30 pound loss since early November. I put on a pound or two over the holidays -- I'm not sure if it was carb creep (lots of keto treats, wine, more nuts than usual) or just too many calories. I just started tracking again after months of doing lazy keto, and I…
  • I started mid-May of this year and am down 31 pounds. I will go weeks and weeks with no loss and then suddenly I'll lose several pounds in one week. Now that I see the pattern I've learned to be patient and wait for the big "whoosh". I've also learned to look more closely at how my clothes fit than at the scale because…
  • I've been listening to a lot of the suggestions made. Thanks to everyone! My two favorites are 2 Keto Dudes and Ketovangelist. Listening to podcasts in the car each morning is like my church - keeps me on the right track.

  • Tomato oil: Try blending in extra olive oil with tomato sauce to dilute the carb impact and boost the good fat. I have spent the summer in upstate NY and discovered Pastabilities hot tomato oil (available on Amazon!). It has unnecessary added sugars though, so I have been making my own version by blending olive oil into an…

  • This is a really good faux potato salad recipe made with cauliflower. I make it at the beginning of the week and it is a great side for several days. Also good for potlucks: [url="http://www.holdthetoast.com/content/brooklyn-deli-unpotato-salad[/url]
  • Thanks! Will check those out. I love listening to podcasts on my morning walk.
  • I've been doing LCHF for a month now and am excited about the results I am seeing. I will definitely add you. I am also eager for friends in the LCHF community. I've strictly been lurking, but I have found the Low Carb forum to be an amazing source of information that has helped me get a good start on this WOE.
  • I like the MCT because I am not a fan of the coconut flavor in my coffee. I noticed the Quest MCT oil is powdered rather than liquid. The company also has powdered coconut oil. Has anyone tried the powdered oils? I like the liquid oil I use, but a powder version would be nice and portable. Trying to think of other benefits…

  • I have problems with this too. To get in a good workout I circuit train at the gym alternating between strength exercises and 5 minutes on the row machine or stationary bike to get/keep my heart rate up. I get a good burn in that way without putting too much strain on my foot.
  • Here is a link http://instantpot.com/recipes/ Also, I have a Pinterest board where I have collected some recipes. https://www.pinterest.com/blakely89/insta-pot/ I use mine mainly for making beans quickly. I also like to use it to make collard greens.
  • If you are okay with streaming your workouts online or on a smart tv (or roku), Daily Burn has a collection called "True Beginner" that brings you slowly up to speed with strength and cardio. It gives you some variety, and it has kickboxing. If you sign up you have access to all its workout collections from beginner to…
  • I love eggplant, and I have been collecting recipes on a Pinterest board. https://www.pinterest.com/blakely89/eggplant/ A good, basic way to cook it without all the added oil is to steam it in a microwave steamer bag for several minutes. It is surprisingly good. I do this all the time and then add it to various recipes.…
