  • Juice because really it's just sugar and meat. Probably should not eat dairy but I love cheese... Cheese just doesn't love me
  • If you are a woman you might seemingly plateau before your time of the month due to excess blood volume. This goes along with why you shouldn't weigh yourself daily, even weekly. Use measurements along with the scale to see your body changing and you won't be surprised by little "hiccups" along the way.
  • I love interval running. I think it works well because you're likely to push yourself harder in the intervals if you give yourself a little rest in between.
  • Soreness results from lactic acid build up in the muscles. Lactic acid occurs when your muscles are not getting enough oxygen while you are working out. Breathe and be sure not to hold your breath even when it gets difficult. Sounds dumb but people do it. The best thing to wash out the lactic acid is water so start…
  • Thanks all! I think I'm going to wait for "summer" weather to go so I don't have to buy things for multiple seasons just to grow out of it. My pants are starting to look a little funny with the belt so tight, but it's a good thing to complain about. Size 10 is way too big now and my size 8 clothes are starting to get a…
  • Do you have a scale with a body fat percentage? They have gotten more accurate over the years. They are still not 100% accurate but it is another measure. I haven't lost any weight the past 2 weeks but I have lost 2% body fat.
  • Try meditation. There are lots of online videos and as little as 10 minutes a day is supposed to help. Also try a "walking lunch" at work. Eat for however long and then walk the rest of your break. Find a colleague to go with you.
  • It takes 7x for your taste buds to start liking something new. Have your kids take a "yes, no thank you bite" of everything on their plate. Yes I will try it but no thank I don't want any more. Also go on family walks. Choose a healthy restaurant and try a different one each week. Check out the sugar content of cereals;…
  • I eat real food.. Real peanut butter is better for you in my opinion.
  • Finding bones on my body. Having energy at the end of a long shift as a nurses aide. Running up hills and loving the burn instead of quitting halfway up.
  • starvation mode... http://authoritynutrition.com/starvation-mode/ temporary but true and can be combated with exercise.
  • Salmon Cakes are the best! You do have to have a login, but it's free. My kids, husband, and everyone loves this recipe! https://www.americastestkitchen.com/recipes/6600-easy-salmon-cakes
  • I do yoga once a week and LOVE IT! It's a total stress reliever and a workout too. I do "basic yoga" at my yoga studio and I feel it afterwards. My teacher is awesome and gives us lots of options for poses that we can do for strength/flexibility depending on what our personal goal is. I do a lot of strength because I'm…

  • I usually work out in the mornings (no I am not a morning person, but my kids love being outside), and a couple of weeks ago I worked out in the evening after the kids went to bed. It was a huge mistake. I couldn't sleep for like hours after I usually do. Working out in the morning gets me going for the day. I usually go…
  • I am in love with seeing my collar bones!
  • I walked with my youngest in the mei tie and older in the stroller. Also bikini body mommy has great 20 minute hiit exercises. Also breastfeeding is great if you can.
  • I also have a cheese problem and my digestive system would prefer I didn't eat it either.
  • CONGRATULATIONS!
  • 135... currently at 145 about 12 down in 3 months from 157! I gained way too much weight with my second baby.
  • I agree find the right yoga studio to start. Mine even has a restorative class along with a class for beginners. Good luck I love yoga and go 1x a week for strength and flexibility as well as relaxation.
  • My husband swears by strava. It hooks up to mfp too.
  • I take a daily multivitamin just to be safe but I don't usually have a problem eating lots of greens and whole foods. Also cooking in a cast iron skillet helps.
  • I have granola with fruit, nuts, and soy milk every morning! Try berries since they have more fiber they will be more filling.
  • Granola with fruit of some kind (usually berries) with soy milk and extra nuts like almonds. I also have coffee with honey.
  • I believe that there are variations of vegan. I would consider myself "vegan" even though I'm more veganish than vegan. I was completely vegan for about 6 months before and during my pregnancy with my son. It is extremely difficult to do depending on where you live and what is available in your area. I don't live close to…
  • I try to avoid things that are "low fat" because they end up being high sugar and sodium, neither of which make you feel full; thus you end up eating more. Eat food that is regular fat paired with something with a lot of fiber. Today I made a ton of dill dip (just fresh dill and equal parts sour cream and mayonnaise - each…
  • No activity tracker. I'm dropping about 2lbs a week now. I'm only about 15lbs over my goal weight. My problem is that I am still breastfeeding my son and I don't want to lose my supply due to lack of calories. Plus when we're short (like today) I don't get a lunch.

  • I watch way too many documentaries, but in the documentary Fed Up (available on Netflix), they showed how diet coke does the same thing to your brain as cocaine. Aka it makes you extremely addicted and constantly crave it. Not to mention the high amount of sodium in these drinks makes them not the ideal choice for weight…
  • Start again today. Even if today is a wash where you go over your calories and make every mistake possible, just start putting your things into mfp. There are days when I know I am going to go over, but I still record so I don't go as far over. Or I get to lunch and think wow I really need to change my plans for dinner. Or…
