I was able to lose the weight with just breastfeeding with my first but hung on to 10lbs with my 2nd and 3rd now despit other attempts until I stopped nursing. Enjoy this time with your baby. Don’t focus so much on the calories you eat but the content of your food. Listen to your body and your baby.

I should add the lowest I let my calories go is 1500 because I love food.

It took me about 7 months to lose 30lbs. From 152 to 132. I went from a size 10 being tight to now a size 4 being loose. I really have to watch my portion size since I have a 4 year old daughter who I have to cook more high fat to help gain weight. I also did couch to 5k and am now training for a half marathon and tough…

In progress... From 152 to 132; size 10 to size 4. Still toning up

You have very expensive urine. Excess protein is excreted in the urine and difficult for your body to breakdown, not to mention it can lead to kidney stones. But I'm just a nursing student; I would ask your doctor.

I agree. Alvarado street is the best! They also have buns and bagels available that are sprouted.

Start trying some recipes with vegetarian protein like tofu, tempeh, or seitan. Gardein is my favorite frozen brand but that gets expensive quick. I recommend theppk.com for recipes.

I agree with the cup of tea. I usually look at my macros to see if I'm missing something that's making me hungy (usually protein since I'm vegetarian). I usually go with: String cheese Apple with peanut butter Hard boiled egg Greek yogurt with jam

I'm still losing but my mother in law asked the other day if the reason I was losing was because I was sick. When I said no she replied quickly with oh ok well you look good. Sigh...

Uber bars by larabar are way too crunchy of a texture for me. I prefer their alt bars if I am trying to get in extra protein.

Bikini body mommy. She has modifications and the workouts are only 20 minutes.

Theppk.com has an awesome slow cooker chili. They have lots of other good recipes too. Seitan picatta is a favorite at our house.

Too many calories for me. I can make a smoothie at home with more protein and real fruits.

Try bikini body mommy. She has free YouTube videos that involve HIIT training. She uses minimal equipment and has modifications for those who need it. I find her annoying but the workouts are simple and good. She's helped me to improve my running time by 20 seconds per mile. Her workouts are only 20-25 minutes long and…

I'm happy with how I did. I only got 1 plate of "food" and then a plate of just salad. I had one small piece of pumpkin pie and 2 beers. I still went over, but I was close to what my "maintenance" calories would be. I did decide that I don't plan on eating turkey again any time soon. I'm a vegetarian and decided to have…

Half a frozen banana with about 1/2 cup of other fruit - strawberry, mango, blueberry (all frozen) 2 tbsp hemp protein - trader joe's vanilla brand is good and cheap Soy milk until filled. If it's too think, I take some out, add more soymilk, then mix it all together in the cup at the end. Also on the back of the dark…

Yes but probably only HIIT inside since it's supposed to be raining. But a special digestion yoga class in Friday

B12! It's hard to get from non-animal sources but nutritional yeast is great and tastes like "cheese" without it you can suffer from anemia. Also since you're on myfitnesspal make sure that you are reaching a decent protein goal daily. Finally, enjoy all of the wonderful benefits that come from eating plants. theppk.com is…

I had never gotten fit for a running shoe before because I had never really run before. I started training for the first time and was going to do my first 5k in a couple of weeks when I started getting "runner's knee." I couldn't run and it hurt. I went and got myself fitted. If you want to be serious about running get…

Tofu is extremely low in calories and high in protein. Look up some tips on how to cook it because otherwise you won't like the texture. It doesn't have flavor so it works well in any dish. Plus it's cheap. I also love seitan for the same reason and it makes a great substitute for chicken. I can't do the texture of tempeh…

It's a small community college so unfortunately no. So it appears I just need to get winter weather gear. Anyone have any cost effective tips for running in the snow?

I add homemade jam. Not too sweet but better than just plain fruit. Then I add toppings like almonds, chia seeds, and fresh fruit. Sometimes I add a little vanilla or almond extract too.

I am currently in school to become a nurse and there are a lot of things that affect your blood sugar. I agree with a lot of previous posters that you should consult your primary physician (or endocrinologist) and a dietitian before you decide to go on a weight loss journey. I would encourage this not only so you can stay…

I recently got fitted. I didn't start having problems with my previous shoes until a few months in. After getting fitted I feel so much better. Your shoes should feel like you're not even wearing shoes if you have the right pair. I didn't have to buy the shoes but I did because they did an excellent job and the fitting was…

If you try coffee add honey to it. It takes longer to metabolize than sugar and will last longer throughout your run.

Oh yeah it's definitely a good workout and they do enjoy it. I just feel like I just be doing it wrong, but I guess not.

We love Veganomicon and Post Punk Kitchen and our house. Also America's Test Kitchen has a new Vegetarian cookbook that has a lot of vegan recipes. We're "veganish" and just found out that my 14 month old is also lactose intolerant. We do eat the occasional farm egg and fish 1x a month. Seitan is our favorite protein along…
