This and the recommendations of eating at maintenance are the advice that I've been looking for. Thank you.
-
I wasn't snarky to anyone. I'm sorry if it came across that way. Frankly, you comment "snort" on a lot of things, which I would consider much ruder (and intentionally rude) than anything I've said.
-
I never said you hadn't. I basically asked a question. From the responses I got it sounded like people expected me to just do normal activity at a concert.
-
of course not, that's something you do every day. You probably considered that when you made your activity level.
-
what's interesting? That I call people out when they're being rude? I'm sorry.
-
I don't know exactly what my deficit is... I use a calorie allotment that I was given. Someone else has given me a link to a calculator though, but thanks for your time
-
I never insinuated that. If I had said "You obviously haven't ever been to a concert" I could see that. But that's not what I said.
-
1) no I don't have a fitbit :/ 2) nice reference 3) THANK YOU for the actual helpful info
-
@TheOwlhouseDesigns right here. See?
-
Then you shouldn't have made the statement as it was rude.
-
Stop *sighing* at me. It's very rude. I am trying to get more information on your advice. I asked if there was a formula for maintenance, so far you haven't given me an answer.
-
... that was my point.
-
Last time I checked dancing and jumping both qualify as exercise... just because I'm doing it at a concert venue instead of at the gym doesn't mean it's not exercise.
-
Please don't twist what I'm saying. I've stated several times that I realize I can't be accurate, I was just acknowledging that I LIKE to be accurate... Ballpark numbers is a representation of that...
-
I'm not looking for specifics. I'm looking for ballpark. I said that from the beginning. I realize that there is NO WAY I can be exact about this... I'm looking at eating at maintenance... is there a formula for that?
-
... have you ever listened to Fall Out Boy?
-
I know I'm logging it as cardio (I thought that was obvious from the original post) I'm asking HOW MUCH
-
... I thought it was pretty obvious form the beginning that I plan for it to be cardio... what I'm asking is HOW MUCH.
-
I like this idea... I don't actually know my maintenance level, I haven't done the math.
-
you realize I am an American right? I only said that because of the comments that it's counted in my activity level... I am WAY more active at a concert than I would be most other days. Also, I don't log things I do every day like cooking and cleaning. but I suppose a lot of you would say I shouldn't have logged helping my…
-
it is exercise related, see previous comments... I intend for it to be my cardio for the day
-
I don't understand how that's counted in normal daily activity? This isn't a concert I'm just going to go sit and watch, it will involve a lot of jumping, dancing, etc.... all things I would count in my exercise
-
I don't know if any of you have ever been to a rock concert, but it generally involves a lot of jumping... which I would consider exercise
-
me too! But even though I love onions when I was mixing things I was a little worried... eating them dispelled that, though :)
-
I usually wouldn't do brunch, but I didn't have to work today so I slept in and didn't eat until around 10:30 and I ate dinner around 3:30 and ate desserts and such later. If you look at my diaries from other days I definitely eat much more than that usually. I bake the meatloaf in silicone cupcake holders... although you…
-
Just to warn you, it looks like a LOT of onion when you make it, but I promise it's not overly oniony.
-
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your concern. But you can understand my frustration when I have done a significant amount of research about my weight loss and talked to many people about it and you're the first person that has told me that I will be unsuccessful.
-
What? It's not worth it to tell someone you don't know and have never seen that they are unhealthy and going to be unsuccessful? It's not worth it to pretend that you know what's best for people despite the fact that you have no professional qualifications?
-
so far, you're the only one who's said anything.
-
True this. Also, most of my days are over 1200 anyway, but with exercise I still keep my net under 1200
