  • Thank you, everyone!
  • Thank you, all. My calorie goal is already at 1200. I am only 5'3" and 45 (okay, almost 46) years old. I forgot to mention that I am hypothyroid and on medicine, so I don't know if that is a factor. The medicine halted my weight gain, but after a year without losing, I decided to try this. It is forcing me to eat more…
  • This is great advice! Thank you, all! I can't wait to go shopping for some of these. My calorie "limit" for the day is initially 1200 due to my height, age, etc. It's really hard getting everything in. I try to add extra calories for all the walking I'm doing, but it's not a lot to work with.
  • I know it's frustrating, but you are actually doing great! We all want to see that needle move rapidly, but truthfully your rate of weight loss is one that is realistic and will make it easier for you to maintain once you get there.
  • And, FYI, if someone is truly hypo, it's like their metabolism is shut down, so you CAN be gaining weight with only 1500 calories a day!---back to saying, only a doctor can properly diagnose.
  • I have hypothyroidism, and maybe you can tell by your log if you are getting enough nutrients? I know along with my thyroid testing, I learned that a lot of people who are hypo tend to be deficient in iron, D3, and B12. So, I supplement those based on my labs--but this should be under a doctor's direction. I actually agree…
