  • I'm seeing the same with zero/zero/calories. The REALLY weird thing is that both my iPhone's show that way, but my iPad shows it normally. I'm a premium user, and I did file a bug report as I'm also a beta tester.
  • Seconded. As someone who was bit by a dog as a kid, there's a reason why I try to avoid dogs at all costs. I'm not a dog behavior expert, nor should I be. I'm not going to placate dogs by throwing treats. I'm not going to attack your pet. If it comes down to my safety or an animal that is not controlled, however, I will…
  • Do you have steps enabled in your mobile app? Check your settings with this procedure: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1525167-how-does-the-step-tracking-feature-work-
  • I have a charge hr.. I like it because I'm trying to keep tabs on overall fitness level, and for my exercises, I see better overall burn estimates, which lets me better judge how much I can eat. Be sure to consider an extended warranty.. I'm on my second replacement since June of last year, and will have to consider what…
  • I'm curious how you'll feel about snickers at the end of the process. I'm also morbidly curious about where you come in at on the Bristol scale, but only because snickers and protein bars are edge case food intake. Eta: I'm also curious about satiety. We eat a variety of foods not just for nutrition, but for satiety as…
  • Everyone must be quietly hiding in the corner! :)
  • Your diary isn't open, so I can's see your food or your macros, which means I can only offer generic guidance based on what I've found works for me. Try to get at or above your protein, at or near your fat, and let carbs be what they will be. Obviously, if you're doing a low carb diet, that's null and void.. Some folks…
  • two things: As long as the steps are accurate (as in each time your leg goes from full forward to full back and back to full forward counts as two steps or less), then you're not cheating. second, and only because you asked for opinions, you both need to get a grip. Six hours of physical activity to pull ahead of someone…
  • Glad to have you here! Have you decided on your approach to creating a deficit?
  • Whole day, but my workouts consist of resistance bands and walking. If you spend a lot of time doing non-standard state cardio, it may be less accurate.
  • Have a charge hr and love it. Only recommendation: buy the extended warranty. I have had two warranty replacements since June, and don't know what I'll do once the warranty runs out and I can't get free replacements. They're fantastic for tracking activity and getting a good handle on what your calorie burn is.
  • Great job!!
  • Calories are fuel, but macros and micros are how you nourish your body. However you make your macros and micros, while staying under your calorie goal, find what works for you. Most people try to get at or above their protein goal, stay near or under fat, and let carbs end up where they may.
  • What sort of struggles have you been having? Anything in particular you need help with?
  • Hey there.. That's not a very realistic goal. Typically, most folks aim for .5 to 2 pounds per week loss, depending upon how far they are from goal. You probably didn't put on 60 pounds in three months, and it's unrealistic to think you can lose it that quickly too. Is there some event you're trying to lose weight for?
  • Probably was intonation @Afura There. Are. FOUR. LIGHTS!
  • Don't discount the risk of Dihydrogen Monoxide, and its MUCH scarier isomer, Monohydrogen Hydroxide. It has been linked to every death ever known, some people have died as a direct result of using it, and even worse, it's an ingredient in so-called non-alcoholic "beer". @quiksylver296 My sarcasm must be off today!
  • I can't pronounce half those words. TOXXXXXXXXXXXXXIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSS! I'm pretty sure FoodBabe would not approve. I'm sure something in there is used in the manufacture of car dashboards. Do you really want to be drinking car parts?
  • welcome.. glad to have you here!
  • glad to hear you're almost recovered from the stroke.. with my hbp, avoiding a stroke has been one of my long-term goals with weight loss.
  • I don't know that there's such a thing as "healthy" caffeine, but anything in unreasonable quantities is certainly unhealthy. Amazon has what I consider "energy drink in a capsule" available. If you compare its ingredients with most energy drinks, you'll see significant overlap. All things in moderation, and you'll be…
  • @DaisyLove93 here's the help page for ticker: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/237365-my-profile-ticker-or-weight-loss-graph-is-not-reflecting-my-actual-weight-loss-
  • One of the cool things about being grownup is you don't have to take it. You're free to let folks know that when they say something, it makes you feel a particular way. Since he too holds a man card, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt and ask you to talk with him and let him know that his comments, however…
  • I've never tried and have no particular opinion of CrossFit, but I laugh every time I see it. The WSJ had an article several months ago detailing CrossFit making for bad neighbors. This was my favorite thing I've ever seen in the WSJ: "Even when she went outside, she couldn’t find peace. 'I would go out back and read a…
  • The boneless wings with 118g of fat is 24 fried chicken tenders covered in butter and cheese.. Sounds legit to me. The Mediterranean sounds high, but enough cheese, likely fried pita, dressing, hummus, and tzatziki will add up.
  • You need a new nutritionist--One with a lot less woo to peddle. You need to lose weight, but you also need to do it I'm a sustainable fashion. Learn portions and macros, then worry about adding on the bells and whistles.
  • Yikes.. Sounds rough! Remember that weight loss is a function of caloric deficit, and nothing else. Even if you can't get out and burn off calories one day, you can still keep a deficit anyway!
  • Soylent = nutrition. Sad, joyless nutrition. I have a co-worker who bought a week's supply of Powder Chow and hated every minute of it. He was filled up, and he was appropriately fertilized with nutrients, but he missed food. He was miffed one day when I brought my burrito bowl up and covered it with hot sauce while he was…
  • 40/30/30 here, and then I eat whatever I want for exercise calories. Over the past week, I've seen 143g protein, 220g carbs, and 100g fats on average. Like @kgirlhart , I actively try to make protein (with 157g as goal, that's a stretch), unintentionally blast over on fat, and come nowhere near on carbs. Really, I eat for…
  • Does the type of milk you give them affect the flavor of the meat, like grass-fed vs corn-fed beef?
