For the mindless eating problem - how about sucking on a lozenge or chewing some gum to keep you from snacking while in the kitchen? Some sugar-free gum sweetened with xylitol is what I rely on. How about peppermint xylitol gum, @HereToLoseOrWin ? It's good for your teeth! Works like the lozenges by preventing snacking, except instead of sucking, you chew. :smiley: I don't know how common they are in the US, but here in Finland it's hard to find gum sweetened with anything else.

Hi, everyone! I'm currently sitting at around 222 lbs, which is still too too too much for me. Just for today, I'm going to walk five miles: 2.5 to walk through the forest and up a steep hill, and then the same back again. It's gonna be a hot and humid day, so wish me luck! I don't like eating heavily when I wake up, so I have a sandwich and a few hours later, a small second breakfast - usually some form of fruit. I said no to lunch since I didn't feel too hungry yet. :unamused: I ended up feeling ravenous while shopping at Ikea. Thankfully I also managed to say no to the candy aisle despite being seriously tempted. Got home feeling famished and proceeded to have a very late lunch - or rather, dinner!
