I knew the 1200 for women, didn't realize it was 1500 for men though. Wish I was a man right about now.

Large quantities of raw veggies, with hummus, tatziki, or other protein-y dip. Like I'll eat an entire cucumber, a cup or two of cauliflower, and the dip. And then if I'm not full I'll have a slice of whole wheat bread, with butter or a slice a cheese (or half whole wheat, let's be honest, some 100% WW bread is disgusting,…

whoffmann, you've described addiction to a t. You know it's bad, you know you'll regret it, you know a hundred reasons not to do it, you know you know you know..... But you do it anyway and you hate yourself for it. This blog helped me immensely. I hope it can help you too, but if you see yourself in these symptoms and…

Dempsters has a lower calorie tortilla. I think they're 80 for a smaller one, not the big ones. Not as good as the ones described above, but still better than 180 for a big one.

Nuts, avacado, cheese, peanut butter, banana. Certain breads. I bake my own bread now so I can actually eat it when I want it instead of having to plan my whole day around it.

From Alberta! I've had lots of success with this app. You have to bring the desire and commitment, and then this app is a great tool. It's taught me a lot about how to fuel my body

I just put sugar into my diary to see how many grams if sugar are in a teaspoon. Or more specifically I wanted to know how many teaspoons of sugar it takes to get to 40 grams of sugar. It's 10 teaspoons. Are you really making your coffee that sweet? I think you could easily come down on the sugar hugely without even…

That your old shoes will fit again! I thought I had grown a shoe size with each pregnancy because my bones spread. Ummmm I was just fatter after each pregnancy! Found an old old pair of sneaks that I love and got sad because I knew they were too small. Tried them on anyway and lo and behold, they fit! Tried a few more…

Oh, and the reason is that it's way more fun to look through pics of yourself with your loved ones, your favorite places on walks, etc, than a bunch of photos of you in your skivvies in front of a mirror in an awkward pose. Haha! I have those too, but I like the regular ones better.

I take photos just in daily life, with the kids, the hubs, when I look particularly hot, lol, or if I love my outfit that day. I don't post them anywhere else, I'm not a selfie a day kind of gal lol. But, I have them on my oh one and then I assign a photo of that week to my weigh in on MFP. I just recently again scrolled…

I'll like the big ones, like 50, 75, 100, etc days logged in. Or if I'm super impressed by a workout, which doesn't take much because I'm a lazy weight loser and hate working out. Lol.

This is a ridiculous one, but I have to fold laundry differently. I was folding a load today, I had folded a newer pair of pj pants and set it on the table, size medium. I folded an old fat pair that with the drawstring done up tight I can still get away with, size XL, and although I had folded it the same way, I had to…

I feel exactly the way you all do, thank you. It's validated my desire to bump a few real life friends. I find I'm not posting statuses that I want to, because I know a few people will see it. The only pro I could think of to keeping them was that it might hurt their feelings if they noticed they couldn't find me…

Just found you all, this sounds great! Can I join in?! I'm 70 pounds into my goal of 90-115 pounds to lose. The first 50 was a breeze, the next 20 was tricky, but this 20-30 last bit is HARD HARD HARD!!!! Maybe I lost too fast, maybe my willpower is depleted, maybe maybe maybe. I've been maintaining instead of losing for…

You can do it! I'm 71 pounds in, 20-30 more to go!

Oh ma goodness. Must eat all the skinny peanut butter cups.

I love this!!! I too reflect a lot as I read newcomers and remember how daunting it all was. Lol I remember reading several threads about mean CICO people too, the experienced saying they're just being honest and helpful and the newer people saying it was mean. Turns out, we all need a kick in the butt sometimes!

Haha this gets me every time. I work with students in grades 7-12, so the word cutting means something very different to me. Everytime I see it in a title my heart sinks because I think someone is struggling with self harming and I click on it hoping to provide encouragement. Anyway, glad to see it's the healthy cutting! I…

Depends. If you have a lot to lose, then no it may be ok. When I started, I set my MFP goals to 2 pounds a week, ate the recommended calories (in healthy foods) but I was losing 3-5 a week for the first 2 months. Lost 50 pounds in 6 months. My goal was 95-115 pounds total, so it worked and was fine for me but if you only…

Me too! Not so much PB for me, unless it's in the Reese's peanut butter cup form! For me it's cheese. And bread. And meat. I love my veggies, don't get me wrong, but if cheese, meat and bread had the same nutritional value as celery, I'd be one happy lady.

I'm 20 pounds away from 95 pound goal! You can do it!

Ugh I feel ya! I feel more nauseous than heartburn, but it really makes you realize how our bodies are designed to process real food and not the junk!

It's free on Kindle right now! I "bought" it and am going to check it out. Thanks KS for the suggestion!

I feel ya. It is so hard when you're a binger. Know that if you're trying on your own and can't make progress (let binges, smaller binges, etc after a few months), it is definitely something you can seek professional mental health help for. It is a real thing! I found this blog on MFP really helpful. It talks about the…

Here it is. It's been so helpful to me. Baby steps with an expected and anticipated MASSIVE outcome in the future. Even if it takes me years to overcome binging, as long as I eventually overcome, that's sooner than if I never starting to try. 5 Steps to Break Free From Binge Eating | MyFitnessPal…

So much this! Logging binges is vital to learning from them. There was a great blog post a bit ago on MFP too about binging. I'll try to find it for ya.

I search for cooked and use one that specifically lists it as cooked. The package nutritional info on rice and pasta are for uncooked.

Tummy first, thighs last.

I know the science might say no, but it helps me. When I don't drink enough water, I feel cravings much more intensely, and I tend to reach for bad food choices more. So much so, that before I put my kids to bed, if I haven't drank enough, I'll drink a massive amount of water because the "the kids are sleeping and I've put…

LOVE THIS!!!
