I could totally eat two pizzas.

We should start a thread that's titled: The best thing to come out of Canada is _______________________.

My boss surprised us with pupusas and tacos in our staff meeting today. I had packed my lunch, so I'm shifting half my lunch to my afternoon snack and should net out even, depending on what I throw together for dinner (was supposed to be tacos).

I wholeheartedly support counseling. If you can see an eating disorder specialist, that would be best, but obviously the more of a specialist you see, the more expensive it gets. I have also had this book suggested to me: https://www.amazon.com/Food-Feelings-Workbook-Course-Emotional/dp/0936077204 if you want to try…

Lol. She's a crazy calf lady.

Mrs. Butterworth isn't actually maple syrup. It's maple-flavored corn syrup. However, it is straight up sugar/carbohydrates so it's quite possible it buzzed you enough to give you a faster pace during your run. You won't know for sure without repeatable results.

I trust my watch because I've learned to trust it over time. I use MFP how it was intended, using the NEAT method and eating back all of my exercise calories. In a pinch, you can use the number from the treadmill. Overall those 100 calories probably won't make a huge difference unless your weight loss stalls out. Then you…

My go-to fast food are Chick Fil A, Wendy's, or Subway. Chick Fil A is usually a grilled chicken sandwich or grilled nuggets with fruit on the side, or a cobb salad with grilled nuggets and fat free honey mustard dressing. Wendy's it's chili and a baked potato. Always. Subway I shake it up a bit. Just about any 6" sandwich…

You're correct, but 1200 is a super duper low number for a daily calorie goal.

First PT appt in the books. Interestingly enough, my son is also in PT and we're seeing the same person. I have a host of exercises, but by far my favorite is the "squeeze your glutes whenever you can remember to squeeze your glutes." My PT laughed when I equated it to, "It's basically doing kegels for the *kitten*."…

@shanaber I'm still in the "I'm really excited about rehab" phase of my injury. I haven't gotten to the "To heck with it, I can't run anyway so might as well eat a doughnut (or 5) anyway." Part of it is I know that one doughnut won't do it and I actually want ALL the doughnuts and then I remember that's just ridiculous. I…

Soup is truly the answer to winter dieting.

And how did that work out for him? :D :D

I definitely remember the bag lady stage. It's hard to spend money on new things when you know you're just going to have to buy everything again. I spent (and still do spend) a lot of time at thrift/consignment stores so I can still feel good at my current size while I work toward smaller sizes. Maybe think about investing…

Fun fact, I'm still hanging out here at 154 with a goal weight of 147-152 with crazy fluctuations all the way up to 161 (yikes) because carbs and feelings. Being on hiatus from running is actually helping me dial it in a little better because I'm not batting the rungries. Using this PT-era of my life to stay on point with…

All boobs matter. :)

@hanlonsk SAME! I had heard so much about it and wanted to love it so much. I just didn't! Both my Wacoal and Panache can be adjusted for a racer back or I run with straps out because who cares?

This. Just go slow when you run. Slower than you think. Truly run at a pace that allows you to have a conversation. Stick with it. If you enjoy it, then keep doing it. Many of us started exactly where you are. Think about participating in the MFP monthly running challenge thread to keep setting goals for yourself:…

I definitely need challenges to keep me motivated (and even though I'm sidelined from running at the moment, I was definitely starting to feel less enthusiastic with getting up at 4am and banging out 5-8 miles before work several days a week as part of 50k training). Things I've done to keep me motivated are taking a group…

Carbs are delicious? :)

I would seriously fart all day if I ate that many eggs. I would have no friends and my husband would probably divorce me.

If pasta helps you stay compliant to a calorie deficit while losing weight, then eat the pasta!!

My first thought is: Screw them. They haven't done the work you've done to achieve the results you've achieved, so they have no place to judge. My second thought is: Screw them. They haven't done the work you've done to achieve the results you've achieved, so they have no place to judge. You do you and they have to do them.

For me, losing the weight helped lift the fog a bit. I still get the sads, but overall my life outlook has improved after weight loss because there is so much more life to experience. While it's kind of sad, people do treat you differently when you are a healthy weight and it seems that life can generally be more…

OP, I feel you have missed the big message behind what the MFP community is trying to offer you here. Adjusting your calorie goal isn't going to help you. It's perfectly sound to think that you could lose weight eating 2100 calories a day if you actually eat that amount each day. Based on your logging entries and the fact…

I just bought my first Panache. It's a little "sexier" than my Wacoal, but I haven't worn it enough to see if I like it more. I tried the Brooks Juno and wasn't a fan. They didn't have my size in store 34DDD/E, but I tried on a 34DD and a 36DD.

I start PT tomorrow and I've at least gone for some brisk walks, did a spin bike thing (no standing for the climbs, though) and some core work. Feeling better each day, so not running is helping. I terested to see what the PT will allow in terms of exercise and reintroduction of running.

I'm a big fan of eating an earlier dinner and having slow cooker food/soup ready when I get home from work. I also try to time my afternoon snack to tide me by, knowing that dinner is already basically ready when I get home. This way, I don't use calories on second snack, but then typically have calories for dessert.

Have you been to a doctor or tried physical therapy?

Me too.
