I think it's cool you have a local place to get that done. For now I need to weigh in at least weekly to semiweekly to manage my weight but when I'm in maintenance I hope to progress to just monthly weigh ins. I've never liked scales other than the scales at the doctors office because other scales seem to lack consistency…

I appreciate all the suggestions....Hopefully it will help others who are frustrated and in the market for a working scale. Just to follow up I ended up with a Tanita that I immediately ordered from Amazon after reading numerous reviews on the model. I am very pleased with it thus far. It is simple to use & keeps a record…

Don't beat yourself up the body or at least my body goes through so many changes during that period. 1.6 is not bad and it will fall off. I just had my TOM pass for the first time while on mfp & I was scared because my cravings are out of this world right before I start. I HAVE to have it, if I want it and most times that…

That is so very true. ;) I feel the same & getting enough sleep has a great effect on how I do. My experiences have been if I'm only getting a couple of hrs a sleep a night, I will be stagnant no matter how good I am eating. It's something how all of that & just taking care of yourself to ensure that you get enough rest…

Congratulations on being in maintenance that is great! I know you will be successful at maintaining. When I get to goal and have maintained a while, I don't continue to calorie count either but journal, so that I'm accountable, councious of what I'm eating. It sounds like you have a strategic reasonable plan to keeping the…

One of the great things about this app is the food journal, you can look back and reflect to see what you ate and there is just something about entering your food & looking at your journal that helps with not going completely…

I have noticed too that having those extra calories on those really hungry days helps with lost. I agree about as long as there are not extremes. It seems that some days the body needs more calories and others I might not be hungry at all. I think noticing such trends and keeping a food journal helps to discern what works.

So encouraging to hear....congratulations on your 70 pds lost! Your blog will encourage those newbies who might feel frustrated, or overwhelmed in the beginning and reassures that If that's the case it's ok, don't give up, your efforts will pay off. You are a testimony that this journey is about persistence and staying…

Thank you guys for sharing. I was asking because my scale is weight watchers brand and the model I have might as well be a paperweight too. I can weigh on it and not move it, step on and off for accuracy and with in seconds I can gain or loose up to 4 pds which is discougiing when you are trying to get a basis when first…
