Did 1200 cal diet for 4 weeks and lost 8 lbs. eating a calorie deficit really works! Been maintaining for about 3 mo. now. Working on decreasing body fat and building muscle.

Pretty sure online porn took the fun out of Playboy...guess I can give up my life goal of posing for them...

Not a big fan of 'machines'. My home gym consists of free weights, TRX, pull up bar, medicine balls etc. TRX is a great versatile work out that can be adapted to your fitness level and can be used for strength and cardio. Good luck!

Low carbs plus lack of sleep is my lethal combination

No cardio necessary! You just became my BFF :)

I'm working on maintaining wt, losing bf and increasing muscle. I'm 5'5", 122#, ~23%bf and hitting my macros well and doing strength training 5x week with a little cardio. My question is how much cardio do I really need (not a fan). And what kind would you recommend?

This is the first "diet" I've ever been on so I don't have much to compare it to but it makes the most sense to me and I'm getting results!

After two months?!! Good for you! I usually have a cheat meal a couple times a week :)

Born Texan! Not there now unfortunately... Go Longhorns and Cowboys :)

I do two 12hr night shifts per week and absolutely get terrible workouts if I try to do it post work before I nap first. Terrible energy. I use one of those days as my rest day and the other I workout in the afternoon after I've slept. But I say trial and error..see what works for you. Feel free to add me :)

Total body strength training with dumbells. You will need to get heavier ones though :) http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/rudy6.htm

I've been tracking solidly for a little over two months now. Working on losing bf as well...it's really helping. Good luck to you!

Thanks! Working on patience now :)

This happened to me shortly after I started MFP. I was eating at a calorie deficit as well as low carb high protein. I feel like I quickly got use to the low calories and was getting really full on protein. I got many warnings for going under 1000 and had to grab a cheese stick or something. Eventually I self regulated.…

I have a home gym, no fancy machines... Here's a good one for Dumbbells only. Good luck. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/rudy6.htm

First thing in the morning, sans clothing. Record once a week :)

Measurements taken from a friend who does fitness competitions. Not sure how accurate it is

Great! Thanks so much for the advice.

I have. Think I'm being impatient. What would you recommend for macro goals?
-
So deficit not a good idea? I have a small home gym, following a total body lifting program from body building.com using Dumbbells/barbell. Adding weight but will likely need to transition to the gym soon or buy more equip./heavier weights. Considering getting a trainer?

Personally I log my bedtime glass of wine first thing so I can plan it into my daily calories/macros ;) it's essential to my sanity. But definitely wish you luck with this :)

Healthier and sexier! Agree! Good luck. Feel free to add

I agree. I'm more likely to not eat well when I'm tired. For me, I try to eat small frequent meals throughout the day and a decent sized dinner. Of course I save enough calories for my bedtime glass of wine. Good luck!
