This will be a weird response, but if he sits any differently he says he squishes the testicles. But he was actually born with a strange tailbone, so this is nothing new. He has a pillow, but he was just looking for long-term improvements.

That's funny! I hope someone has a good answer for us all.

This made me laugh, thank you! That's exactly what I thought when I wrote the question. There wouldn't be enough calories in a day to keep up with it or you would go horribly over the other macros.

Yes! This wasn't for weight loss reasons, clearly... but when I first moved to the US I felt the need to like peanut butter as well as Mac and Cheese. Peanut butter was especially disgusting to me, even just the smell. I started off by adding a little bit to a sandwich with a whole lot of jelly and then I added more and…

My legs felt a bit crampy today, so that's why I even looked. Never heard of Nusalt, thanks for the tip!
-
Thank you! That makes sense. I was just thinking about it and wondered how I could possibly eat MORE beans and fruit and whole grains every day. Now I feel better about it.

Around 500 a day, but I usually end up with about 700 a day. I've lost about 17 lbs in 87 days.

I drink a few beers a week. Not too many, maybe 1-4. I noticed that Coors Light has way less calories than my favorite (Beck's), so sometimes I go with that one now to save calories or be able to drink more. Everything gets logged before I consume it, so it's planned and fits into the diet. Some days there is no room for…

Oh, I agree! I eat the Arctic Zero or Halo Top ice cream regularly, too, and they are tasty! Many things (even pizza and beer) can fit into the weight loss plan. My point was that there are some foods that I love that can't fit into the regular, daily plan. For those, I make room on special days, maybe once a month. My…

I think it's funny when people say "just fit it into your plan" - you mean have 2 pieces of brownie with ice cream and then starve the rest of the day? Sometimes it doesn't work like that. Sometimes you just want to eat MORE, even if you manage to fit most things into the diet on an every-day basis - and I do. I eat pizza…

Try Seltzer Water with flavor as a replacement. The Orange or Lime ones are great. You still get the fizziness, but it's healthier.

Probably pizza from places like Pizza Hut or Domino's. I still eat other pizza that doesn't go over the daily sodium limit in one bite... ;) I couldn't just eat one slice either; it would have to be the whole thing. And some things could fit into the diet plan, but they are not worth feeling hungry all day. Like brownies…

I'm 5'5 and 226. My only jeans are from Torrid right now (they fit so well...) and they are a size 16. Probably not much longer, though. I'm already tightening the belt more. :)

I don't really drink wine, but have a couple of beers over the weekends. Turns out, Coors light has about half the calories as my favorite beer (Beck's), so I usually choose that now. It fits nicely into my calorie plan without pushing me over the limit.

Started a bit over a month ago and lost as much as you would expect in such a time frame. Haven't really exercised, because we have no space for equipment or exercise videos (I love those) right now and it's 100+ degrees outside with 100% humidity. I will exercise eventually, but so far so good.

We just bought some expecting it to taste bad, but it's great! Thanks for the tip! $5.99 is a bit pricey, but it's not an every-day item. Still a great treat.

Just sent a request. My diary is open and I log everything every day. I'm on a 1lbs a week weight loss plan. I have phases when I like to cook and phases when I don't... No special restrictions, just trying to be under the calorie goal every day.
-
Maybe every now and then you could exercise with your children? Go to the pool together or on a hike. I don't have children, but I used to be a nanny. The 3-year-old and I would go on bike rides together and we went "jogging", which meant we raced each other from mailbox to mailbox in the neighborhood and then walked to…

Never made minestrone, but that sounds good! Will give it a shot! I love soups. And yes, we make baked fish, too. That's another good one!
-
I don't mind salads, but sometimes I don't want to make them. I used to have a lot of feta in mine, but after logging it once I have now switched to other things, like corn or small pieces of apple to make it more interesting. We have ice pops for sweet cravings... Sad, but true.

Thank you, PAV888! I guess I was a bit too hung up on the numbers. I've had around 300 calories left every day, but I'm not usually starving myself. I feel okay at around 1500 calories per day and figured a few extra calories left means I lose faster. My husband obviously needs more.

Ha! That's what I thought at first, too. That he's just being overly dramatic. But I gave him more food last night and today (that sounds awful... no, he's not a dog) and he's much happier. Now I feel bad for starving him for 2 weeks.
-
He has other responsibilities. We have divided everything up based on what each person likes to do and is good at. Life goes more smoothly that way and no one gets a horrible to-do list from the other person. ;) I happen to enjoy cooking and keeping track of things. This system works well for us - we have a great…

The doctor prescribed extra strength Vitamin D pills for a few weeks and told him to switch to the one-a-day pills once he is done. Plus, he spends a little more time outside this summer, because we now have a garden. We didn't get him re-tested, but we completed what the doctor told us. We eat the same things every day,…

True. Thanks, everyone!
-
Yes, we can check his blood pressure at the pharmacy. We will do that. We are usually just around the daily sodium limit or slightly above. We will try with slightly more calories. I just thought MFP would give us the right amount of calories. :)
-
Oh, and he drinks like a crazy person. ;) Always has. Several bottles of water a day. I'm the exact opposite - have to force myself to remember.
-
We did a blood test a few months ago and he had low Vitamin D. That should be back to normal, though. Everything else was fine. He does have high blood pressure naturally. I have low blood pressure naturally. Does that make a difference?! I have cut out most of the sugar in our diets. Sometimes we eat a yogurt with a few…

Yes, I'm weighing his food. I just switched him to 1lbs weight loss a week and now he gets 2190 calories a day. I hope that helps!
-
No, he's not on any medication. Every couple of days he takes the One A Day for Men vitamin pill, if we remember.
