I'm approaching normal again, I think. My normal, anyway. I think the sudden blow up may have been an indication of overexercise. I did some research, and people with eating disorders where extra-extra damage is inflicted to the system-- think bulimics, or hypergymnasts-- tend to gain massive amounts of water retention.…

I really don't understand how people are gaining water/glyco weight and NOT feeling like nothing fits anymore. And even losing inches! I've been stuck in my "fat pants" for almost a month now, and I'm definitely not eating more than my fair share. But maybe that's because I exercised before entering maintenance.

I'm still puffy today but I don't feel oh-so-heavy anymore. Definitely still higher in weight though, so much so that I'm too chicken to check out the scales, and won't be doing so until I feel back (mostly) to the way I was. I'm pretty sure it's water too, since I'm sweating like crazy in all my workouts, and sometimes…

OH, not over maintenance, just 1200-1600 gross. I'm learning Python

What, is Beans on toast and cocoa supposed to be evil now? Ugh! Truly I don't feel like I ate either junk-ily or excessively, just a few hundred calories more of my usual fare. I feel ya though on those 7 pounds. I just hope it goes away SOON.

You could always mix up your intakes if you want. If you are not digging 1200, try 1500. If you're ok though, see what happens next week. Often one loses water weight quickly at the beginning of calorie counting. There. I really on entered this thread to say that veganbaum is awesome for liking wonder falls!

Yes. I find ovulation much worse than my actual totm but I gain a little then too. Isn't it such a pain to basically never know what progress you're making, except for maybe 10-14 days of the month?

Thanks for the replies all. Still at same annoying weight today. Cwolfman your reputation for sound advice precedes you here...do you know how the sweating helps with retention? I thought if youbgot dehydrated, you held onto water.

Sigh down another half a pound but nothing close to what it "ought" to be. At least not bloated anymore. I use birth control pills but this week was when I'd usually have a period, so maybe in a day or so the combined retention effects will magically disappear. Did anyone else do this on Halloween? Does it matter that it…

Did you end up losing the water and then more, too? I don't mind waiting it out, I just need some hope.

I'm getting conflicting answers about weight gain, but I guess the food density is t what's gonna cause it. I need some motivation to up my calories instead of losing some extra "safety" pounds first. I'll be honest: I have disordered eating habits and accidentally somewhat got to myself now to a bmi of 17.9. I love the…

Hmm well I generally don't eat tons of carbs, though I don't avoid them either-- love oatmeal and fruits-- bug I guess I won't increase my Val's with bakery and pasta. I wonder if I ought to lose a little extra to account for that glycogen you guys mentioned, but perhaps a slow increase will do the same thing. Jealous of…
