I tried to give up artificial sweeteners thinking they were making me gain weight. I bought into the "it's not good for you" drivel. So I tried LA Croix water: tastes like crap. Seltzer water is awful. Putting fruit in water is stupid: it tastes like fruit in water. Skip it. Give me my diet Crush packets and Crystal…

I'm gonna be so skinny! Just watch me breathe... :D

I'm three weeks into keto eating too. Are you linked up to any Facebook Groups? I am on Ketogenic Success, and Keto for Beginners. There is so much help and support from the mentors on those pages; they know keto and they quote sources and direct you to peer reviewed studies to help you understand this way of eating.…

I'm skipping all the carbs: I'm gonna eat the hell out of that dark meat turkey, cauliflower/cheese/bacon casserole, green beans, and whatever else fits into my LCHF diet. No dessert, and I'm really ok with that.

I'm keto and I wouldn't even eat that!! :D

If it's hormones from my fat... I have a lot of fat to lose! Is this gonna last forever is my question!
-
I was one of those fat people who ate low fat--so the only thing that's different in my diet is the addition of fat. I always eat small amounts of cheese and occasional milk. This is so odd. The fact that it's just on my face like hormonal zits-- I don't get it.

I'm taking magnesium, iron, and have increased my sodium. I've never in my life used face products including makeup. I don't know what this is!

I get where you're coming from. I had gastric bypass in 2007. I lost 130# and regained 40 in the past 4 or so years. I've read some statistics on why we regain the weight and that 90% of gastric bypass patients regain at least 25% of their lost weight. It's a real thing. Unfortunately, the surgery limited the amount of…

I'd like to hear a little bit more about this no fruit/veggie/nuts way of eating. Why do people do that? How does that affect the body? I know our carbs are already less than 20/day, so I want to understand how this way of eating affects ketosis. Thank you. Jessica

That's ridiculous! Everybody love donuts! Some of us are insane enough to choose to no longer eat them... Yeah. I'm one of those insane keto people...

I'm starting it on Sunday. I will be purging my home of all the crap I know has been weighing me down-- literally. I have been researching and planning for about 2 weeks. I really want to be successful this time around. Anyone who's thinking of doing this and is on Facebook; they've got a lot of new keto/low carb…

The workout your enjoy and will do consistently is the best workout! If you like home workouts: go for it. If you're getting variety and mixing up the activities, you're working various muscles and keeping your body working for you! You really don't need to spend a cent to exercise: walking, burpees, crunches, yoga,…

For me, I had to determine a weight that I could maintain. I've been yo-yo dieting my entire adult life: I want off this crazy train. If I were to try to be the 115-145 the charts say I'm supposed to be for my height-- I'd lose my mind: I could absolutely never maintain that. I've been some years back175 and that looked…

I haven't tried the cinnamon Oreos, but I'm all about the peanut butter ones!! O M G!

Congratulations on your weight loss. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2007 and lost 130 pounds. It changed my life and I wouldn't change a thing. I had zero complication, but, true to form, 95% of people gain back from 20-40% of the weight lost after 10 years. I've regained 40 pounds and that's why I'm here. The reality is,…

Weekdays (workdays) I eat the same breakfast every day. On Sunday, I cut up strawberries, add blueberries, and any other fruit in season (blackberries have been wonderful the past two months) and put them all in a big bowl for the week. Every morning, I scoop 1.5 cups of the fruit into a bowl. I add 1 container of light…

From Milwaukee, WI. Now living in Roseville, CA-- near Sacramento. Finally a break from the over 100s temperatures! I've been hibernating for about a year, and decided to rejoin the land of the wellness-bound. Tracking my foods, and upping my activity-- it works!

Personally, I think infused water tastes awful. If I'm going to flavor my water, I'll use the sugar-free drink packets. I know: chemicals. But I drink my water, and ultimately, that's my goal.

What in the world is a hot dog salad?? :)

We can do this! I have about 50# to lose. I'm 214 today... I'm ready!! ☺

Absolutely. I buy the preportioned foods. It's portion control. There are no bad foods, just bad portion sizes. There are no bad foods. They can all fit in your diet if you portion them out like the label has them listed. One serving. We can do this. I really enjoy desserts, so I buy the Skinny Cow ice cream bars. 150 or…

Wow. Way to be supportive. I don't think people benefit from being berated and told what to do. If that works for you, so be it. But the vast majority of us aren't motivated when we're told "quit whining."

I thought when you hit the button, it calculates how much you'll weigh in five weeks. If you est more, that calculation would be wrong. I also thought you had to hit the button so it will count the day in that update "Jessica has logged in 111 days in a row" So I don't have to hit the "complete the day" button, and my day…

If you fit it in your calories for the day-- enjoy! It's called eating for real life. I've decided that no fod is worth giving up completely. I have to learn the art of balancing higher calorie foods with nutritious, whole veggies. To example, Costco has this amazing sausage and pepperoni calzone. Its 530 calories though!…
