Yes. I've come to like the trendweight.com website. Website links to my Fitbit Dashboard info and it does all the fancy math to calculate and graph the data points (daily weights) and trendline. I do "have to" manually input my weight into either my Fitbit App on the phone or the Dashboard on a computer.

Welcome back to MFP!
-
@AllisonPaige1991, Welcome back! I had some success, "fell off the wagon," and today, I'm refocusing on getting back on the process. Feel free to add me if you like. M

@donnahutchis and @Danilea7 - I see your 15 and raise you another 45! Retired from the military - > gained 60 lbs -> Started MFP, lost 40 -> Got a (small) injury -> gained 25 back (recovered quickly but went back to my bad habits, not logging, not paying attention to what I was eating, etc.). "Resetting" today!

This may be the best GIF in human history...

@jadelyndsey , My $0.02: I'm a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu guy, not technically MMA (but we do striking, takedowns, and grappling i.e. "MMA" before it became MMA :) ). "It depends." It largely depends on the gym. If it's a bunch of "cage-fighters" and "wanna-be cage fighters" - it may not be the best place to start. If the place…

Yes & yes, plus it's an action too.

Matt. 43. Started MFP at 260ish, currently 230ish. Goal to get (back) to 200.
-
BJJ as my main fitness activity. Yep - it's a full body, cardio & strength program with a little "involuntary yoga" as well.
-
I have modified that cliché to "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day before lunch."

-
1) Portion control & 2) "grazing" throughout the day.
-
I do "garangolos" (horrible attempt at phonetically spelling a Portuguese term for perhaps 'keeping open guard and rotating using rocking motion & elbows so that you keep feet & knees towards a laterally moving, standing opponent'), wrestling sit-outs, and "hip ups into triangle set-ups" as functional fitness core…

As a relatively new & junior blue belt, my thoughts: - Best quote on the topic: “A blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu really means that you are a serious student of the art. Nothing more, nothing less. When I see a blue belt I know that is someone who has put in a significant amount of time and effort towards improving their…

Congratulations! To help your way along the journey be a little less bitter and perhaps more sweet, why not hang/display your old belt as a reminder of where you've been and where you're going?
-
Seconded...or would it be thirded? :)

In the middle of one, for reasons that I can't figure out. If you figure out a solution - please let me know

BJJ blue belt; try to train 4 times/week.

43, retired from the military, gained 60+lbs. Goal to get back to my "fighting weight." Lost 40ish so far. BJJ blue belt. Try to train 4 times/week.

The more, the merrier https://www.fitbit.com/user/3R4H56

BJJ 4 times a week. Depending on the specifics of the class - can be a full-body strength & cardio work-out (hard rolls for example). Off days - I try to get in a run and/or some body-weight exercises + yoga. I aspire to start lifting again - but the schedule hasn't worked yet.
-
I'd say, "Try it & experiment." There may be a smart, book answer out there - which I don't know - but if it works for you, then it's the right answer :)

Go to your own profile page - it's right in the top middle of the page (see mine below). public url //www.fitbit.com/user/3R4H56 https://www.fitbit.com/user/3R4H56

Just kidding. Mentally change the name from "Rest Day" to "Active Recovery" & program in some activities like yoga/stretching, foam roller work, walking, etc. Kills two birds (letting your body recover & satisfies 'OCD') with one stone...

Yes, but don't obsess. I also recommend taking measurements as well.

Goal is 1lb/week. I was going to give it a month or so before considering changing calorie goal. Think the over-eating is due partially to a) work stress (I'm both a stress & boredom eater...) , b) not always making the best food choices (hi calorie, lo "satiators" - if that's a word), and c) ramping up the exercise again.…

@WifiresGettingFit - I seem to be living proof of the "Can't out run your fork" axiom... Mid-Month assessment: - Exercise regime, going well (on most days - winter is tough for me...) - logging going OK, but consistently eating over daily calorie goal... - Trendweight (which I have come to love) pretty much matching the…

BJJ -> Snow Shoveling....close enough. Welcome to the boards!
-
OK - have tried it out with a couple of brown belts. I could not finish them from that position, nor could they finish me. Pure static/set-up in our case - can't disconnect the fact that it was the 2nd round and he got ground & pound'd for a bit leading up to it.

1) Portion Control. I really had no idea how much I was really eating until I started weighing. 2) "Grazing." No idea how much I was really eating (in small, continuous amounts) until I started logging.
