Haha, yeah, I read that one and thought about the day I just had Hershey Kisses for dinner.

Hmm, the one I ate the other day had 350. It was frosted and stuff though.

I've been splitting stuff with my daughter for this exact reason. It helps a lot. Half a kid's meal isn't a lot of food!

It sounds kind of crazy, but there are hypnotists for weight loss that might help. My mom went to one and has been off soda for years, despite regularly drinking it before. It's kind of like the cognitive behavioral stuff, just a little weirder. :)

I'm 5'2". Started at 170, currently 160, goal is somewhere between 120-130. When I hit 130 I'll reevaluate. From college into pre-baby-adulthood I was normally between 130-135. Got pregnant around 140, then gained 45 lbs and was never able to lose the 'baby weight.' The lowest I've been since her birth (5 years ago!) is…

I went away for a week and ate 4300 calories more than I intended, if that makes you feel better! One night is not going to be a problem.
-
You can change it by changing your goal (like going from 2 lbs a week to 1 lb a week). If you're short though, the numbers stay pretty low.

I've heard of people who had their fitbit register bumps in the road as steps while driving. Mine doesn't (I have a charge), but it might be worth looking at the before and after when you drive.

I weigh every day, but record on either Friday or Saturday depending on if I'm around for the weekend. My calories don't actually change because I'm already on 1200, so it doesn't really matter for anything other than my own tracking.

Aren't Thai people often pretty slim? They must have a good variety of healthy food options.

I realize this thread is a couple of weeks old, but I was researching spirulina today and came upon this: http://examine.com/supplements/spirulina/ and thought OP might want to read it. It does appear to have some promising effects on certain conditions. Also, the 'quackwatch' link just says it doesn't help with obesity,…

Thanks everyone. I know it hasn't been very long, so I'll just wait it out. Hopefully in another month I'll actually be able to see a difference somewhere!
-
Mine does that too. Because I'm short, I think, at 1200 it says I should lose 1.1 lbs per week. Are you short with less than 50 lbs to lose?
-
How long ago was the first loss? I know that age has made things much harder for me, so if it was awhile ago that might be a factor.
-
Practically everyone in Europe would be obese if that mattered. :)

Ok, they were not in the same time zone. I feel dumb. Let's see if it gets better now!

I have negative calorie adjustments enabled.

I have done all of the above, but I can't really ignore the fitbit calorie goals if MFP is going to be off by my entire calorie deficit! I just don't get how it could be so far off so close to midnight. Isn't that when it is supposed to reset? Shouldn't it realize I'm not going to burn 400 calories in a half hour?
-
It is synced to my Fitbit. Should I unsync it? I've already noticed that what fitbit thinks I should eat and what MFP thinks I should eat seem to be different, so maybe it would be easier to not sync them.

In that case the protein shakes are probably vitamin/mineral fortified. Mine are. I don't cut my carbs nearly as much as the people on here are talking about (usually shoot for 70-90g), but it worries me less to drink a shake with supplements than to limit fruit and veggies without a backup plan.

I have been avoiding alcohol, but it's only been a month. I did have a glass of wine one day, but otherwise none. Curious about other responses though, since I'm sure that at some point I will want to drink and beer is usually my drink of choice (and probably the worst alcohol weight-loss-wise!).

Oh okay, thanks. I'll look at the users group. Didn't know that existed! :)
