I am also 5'2 ft and my goal weight is 10 stone which is a pound or so over healthy in the BMI index so if your goal is to be 8'9 stone then that has got to be at the lower end of the BMI healthy or. Even under weight. It's got to be much harder to get there . Sorry I can't be much help but just thought I'd point this out .

How about not changeling your eating habits but starting to log everything. Seeing how much you eat on a daily basis can be a shock and having to see the numbers on a screen may encourage you to not eat as much even if you haven't started trying to lose yet.

The standard reply is eat your 1200 sedentary calories and half your exersise ones so 300 - 350 making a total of 1500 -1550. Would depend on how accurate your workout calculations are but this would be a good starting place

I think having 0 as a minimum is a good thing, everyone knows it's not ever going to happen so don't try to reach it. figured out a way to do it! had 1 slice of toast and an egg for lunch then rushed out the door to the stables so I had no access to food! leaves me a decent amount for a meal now x
