Hi Katie. Im 54 and your story is exactly where I was 26 years ago, about your age. I had exactly the same thinkng at my 2nd pregnancy. Fast forward 24 years & my weght had crept up to 378lb (&I wasnt pregnant). I yoyo dieted & stress eat. When one stressful time where my eldest daughter nearly died from an accident & I…

@MJ5898 oh how simple, i never thought of breaking it down into 20lb sets. One bit at a time. thankyou

im still sitting here overwhelmed with the idea I had over 200lb to shed in the beginning. I got to 96lb down 6 months ago. Now its only 88lb today. Im hanging on with my fingernails. I in no way want to be a typical statistic and put all the weight back on plus more. i know I need to buckle down like I did in the…

I do exactly the same - charge whilst showering. then i also wont get soap or shampoo on it. I find just doing this is enough to keep it charged. AND I dont miss out on those valuable steps.

You know you can do this because you did it before. Glad your life is more stable to concentrate on your's + your son's health. Keep posting

I was 389# now 296# in 18 months - am 54 year old. I cannot comment on calories as I don't count them. MFP insists and won't let me turn calories off. My Nutrients are far more important. You can eat only icecream to use up calories. Fats, carbs + protein = healthy fresh food.

Been here for 18 months. Did so well for 13 of those months be not focused for the last 5. Ive up a small amount back on. Thats scared me. So yes now to get back and be focused. We all have a long journey.

@Skittles2183 do get mad! But turn it into a positive energy not a negative. Be mad enough to be focused on what you need to do and to not become blazay. It takes guts to get back to this crazy journey. After losing 96lb in 13 months I have not focused for the last 5 months, have maintained but Im still 296lb- not a place…

For last 5 months have stayed the same which is now messing with my head. Im dissapointed that I could be much further in my losses if I stuck…

Well the ball has started rolling. This group can be active. I started this journey 17 months ago. Been dieting since I was 10 and obese already. In 43 years Ive done every diet, even weird ones but always yo-yod & on average put on 6lbs a year & a bit more for 2 pregnancies. 3 years ago I resolved that im just one of…

I agree & also wish for this group to be active. With 200+ hanging over us it adds more to the mental hurdles. But active dosnt mean hundreds of posters. Just 2 is enough to make it "active". So who is with me @CurdsnWeigh ??? @TubbyYO ???? @gahrahstah ???? @MJ5898 ???? Who will be 1st?

You have a handle on the intensitivty, now to nail the consistency. Well done

I have the same prob, but only when I leave it too late and am just getting home. It rarely happens when Im out or if I go often so it dosnt get urgent. I heard the prob at home is because we relax when we get home. I have not thought it was to do with weight. But wondering if my pelvic floor muscles are not strong enough.…

Im also low carb. Glad to meet you. Im 53 Mum of 2 beautiful adults & madly in love with my Man of 30 years. Been obese since I was 10. Tried every diet known to man but always failed. Gave up 2 years ago & thought it was my lot in life. I put on 40lbs in 6 months as I just didnt monitor anything but it scared the life out…

You dont need luck. You can do this and then keep it off. But its bloody hard work. Keep logging, posting and being concious of what you are eating. I was 378lb 16 months ago, now 288. It has been hard work but worth every minute and every decision I made along the way. Glad you are on the journey with us all. Lets do it.
-
My SW was 378lb. Now 16 months later im 288. It is a long trip but so so worth it. Glad to have you on the journey.
-
