Milk and sugar don't add many calories. At all.

You actual loss is never going to exactly match the math, due to tons of variables. But bottom line, you are doing great!

Have you tried Vitamin water zero????

I so needed to read this right now. :)

Still eat a big breakfast, but change your choices Eat lower calorie foods.

What is your MFP set to? If it is not on sedentary, some of the calorie MFP gives you overlaps with what fitbit gives you, so you may be eating too many calories. Also, it's a good idea not to eat all your Fitbit calories back to accout for some possible errors.

I love Vitacost organic matcha powder! It's especially great for people like me, who prefer iced tea!

Yes, in terms of weight loss. If you care about total health and overall well-being, well certainly some choices are better than others. Lol.

I'm a pharmacist, and I must iterate that there is virtually NO good reason to use this drug. Lose the weight on your own. Studies have shown 5-8 lb greater weight loss than placebo over 6 months. That is only about a 1 lb advantage per month that you could get just by cutting out a soda per day. For slightly more than 1…

My Charge HR plus MFP has me down 12 lbs in a little under a month. So far, a winning combination for me! I love numbers and data, so this is right up my alley!

I decided to start working out with a trainer this fall. And I want to try a few of the Beachbody workouts. I also have a treadmill with built in TV, so I want to do more walking while watching during the colder months....less sitting on the couch. As far as food, I want to make a lot of healthy soups and chilis in my…

It's 24 days. Calorie Deficit via protein powder/crash dieting. If you need structure, have the money, and feel you will stick to the challenge, I do not see the harm. But there is nothing magical about it.

I have a little over 100 I want to lose. I am not looking at the total number. I am setting mini goals and am just looking for the scale to keep going down every week by making changes to my eating and exercise. I have relapsed before by getting overwhelmed by the total number and seeing how far I still had to go. Now, the…

I'm from Toledo (formerly Columbus). You can add me.

Before you can change your body, you have to change your mindset. You MAY be out of shape, but you don't HAVE TO BE forever. And there is no need to STOP EATING. Just START EATING the right foods. If you make up your mind to do it, you will. If you resign yourself to staying overweight and over-eating, then overweight is…

Buy the "Chocolate Covered Katie" cookbook. Healthy dessert recipes made from real ingredients. And yes, there are chocolate things in it!!

I am going to lose the weight I need to lose first. THEN conquer my diet soda addiction. I do not have the willpower to do both at once.
-
Does your trainer actually think this is a good idea? Fast results are not as important as sustainability.

I LOVE my HR! I think my burn is pretty accurate and it has allowed me to see I can eat MORE and still NAIL my weight loss goals every week. I have a job where I am on my feet 12 hours a day and I was grossly underestimating just how much I burn. I have only been wearing it 3 weeks, but have loss 10.5 lbs and have not gone…

On pizza...LOL

Are you weighing yourself in the morning on an empty stomach, naked after you have went pee and maybe #2? If not, your may have lost and not know it because weight fluctuates throughout the day.

Yes, I am a pharmacist who works 12 hour shifts. I have to graze all day and eat a big breakfast before work to meet my minimum calories for the day. I also do not do extra exercise on workdays...I wear my fitbit and the 6 miles it tells me I manage to walk back here in this tiny pharmacy feels like exercise enough. I only…

I am a pharmacist. B-vitamins are usually well tolerated when taken in doses as labeled on packages. They are water soluble, so your body excretes what is not absorbed for use in the urine. Excreted B-vitamins can give urine a neon yellow color. It sounds to me like you might be having a reaction to an inactive ingredient…

It is less than a dollar per week. Since information motivates me, I went for it!

I almost cried yesterday (for real) when my Fitbit died midday! I want every step to count!!!

You could get a mini blender and make smoothies or protein shakes. Cuisinart makes a great personal mini blender! Quest bar plus banana is an easy option too.

Read about Tosca Reno. She's my inspiration. She got in dynamite shape in her 40s and now she's pushing 60. Her recipes and books are great too!

Work pants are feeling looser! Skin is looking better...probably from all the water!

Focus on making small, sustainable changes. Maybe a goal for week 1 is just to eat whatever you want, but track it. Week 2, Track all food and try to stay at maintenance calories (the break even point). And then gradually lower your calories by a few hundred per week until you are eating a big enough deficit to lose a few…

I am a pharmacist. Alli is garbage. It works by blocking 25% of dietary fat from being absorbed. However, it is supposed to be taken while following a diet with a max of 15 grams of fat per meal, meaning 45 grams of fat per day. 45 grams of fat daily x 9 calories per gram of fat= 405 calories per day. If 25% of those are…
