  • Same here. My allowance is about 18-23 grams a day. I am average 14 or so. It is hard to hit 2000 calorie mark and no go over that.
  • I have that same problem. I need to eat 2300 calories but don't want the unhealthy nutrients that comes with it. It so hard to stay under my saturated fats goal and hit my calorie goal. Pastas and noodles is a good choice for calories and no unhealthy fats.
  • Thanks for all the responses. I over estimate also. I have been eating more since I started using the scales because I wasn't eating as much as I estimated.

  • 1700 calories can be a ton, if you choose the wrong foods to make up that difference. I too am at the maintaining stage but didn't start back eating the things I used to eat. I still follow the healthy nutrients plan, just adding a little more of them to the plate. Protein shakes are a great way to make up the difference.…
  • Been on vacation twice this year, didn't gain a pound. Changing my eating habits were a lifestyle change, not just to loose wait or maintain. If I deviate for a week, its over for me.
  • Switch to dark chocolate and only eat small amount of it each day. I found that having a small amount of dark chocolate is better for you and quenches the craving more that the others.
  • Add protein powder to almost anything. It comes in different flavors such as strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. I like to Sprinkle about a half a scoop on my cereal and oatmeal to start my day.
