I have a bolt and like it. Have never had Garmin so can't compare directly but a few things to note: - Set up is really easy and you can tweak on your phone so minimal use of device buttons - Battery life is good - bolt doesn't have a way to do intervals on device (that I've found anyway) - The black and white screen can…

Going pretty well! I actually feel more comfortable when clipped (my pedals can be used either flat or flipped over and clipped in). It really helped to ride with a group the first few uses. I could watch the other riders twist their heel out when braking and it prompted me to do the same. The one area that I still…

Thanks! I did 11 today - first time I rode two days in a row and my backside was none too pleased when I first sat on the saddle! I thought my legs were 'fine' but my average speed was much slower today, so I guess my legs were a little tired! Bike actually sounded strange when I was finishing up so I took it to my LBS and…

I love this!! So true about being accountable! I also like how the plans give guidance on different things to do each ride (intervals, cadence, etc). I also have to lose ~70 pounds (down 92 from start weight) and hoping that biking will be an activity for both fitness and fun. In order for the latter to happen, I HAVE to…

Aug 5 - so I have some time! I did 23 miles this morning, so hoping with some focused training, I can increase both speed and distance before the big ride. I downloaded the seven week 'panic' plan from your British cycling link above and planning to start it next week.

Thanks so much for asking this - training for a 50 miler but thinking aiming for metric century is good way to ensure I will enjoy the 50 miles :-)

Another vote for old navy. Big selection online. Target also has more sizes online then in store. I also get lots of stuff from Amazon. Did a quick search and found long sleeve active tops up to 3x

Here's some info on the gadget: http://www.powerairfryer.com/ I've heard about them in some of my cooking related fbook groups and seen the occasional informercial. The concept is that you use continuous air flow to 'fry' the foods w minimal oil. I like the idea of not deep frying -- both because it's less mess and less…

I have similar questions - although I am definitely trying to lose! According to several keto online calculators, I'm supposed to target between 100 - 115 grams of protein in a day (range from different sites). If I just have BP Chai for breakfast (very helpful in getting my fat % up and I'm not hungry -- and loses have…

For those that have tried higher low carb (~100 grams) - did you still follow other tenants of lchf (eat butter, bacon, et ) orndid you have to moderate fat as you increased carb?
-
But aren't we supposed to meet a minimum protein amount to prevent muscle loss? I'm new to this lchf way of eating and haven't tried IF yet, but did wonder about importance of spacing macros through the day and avoiding late night eating. When I was focusing on CICO, dietitian wanted ~70% of calories before dinner.

Yes - I tried several times yesterday with no luck. I was able to build recipe from MFP app -- maybe something to try?

I'd like to join! First challenge on MFP, so hoping I can join a bit late :-) My current weight is 335 (down 18 so far) and I want to be out of the 300's! I'm doing a weight loss program at Ohio State (weekly meetings with optional appointments with dietitian, exercise coach, and health coach) and have joined Planet…
