Chicken fingers, buffalo sauce, drizzle of ranch dressing on buttered Texas toast. I get the Nuclear or Insane sauce. Then dip the fries in the sauce mix that drips off. Then lick the container.

OP - It took me about 4 weeks to get to a point that I wasn't going to bed hungry, eating a meal and thinking about seconds, or randomly finding myself in front of an open fridge. Just a matter of getting your body used to fewer calories. I also have myself set to 2 lbs a week, though I have a lot more to lose. I did that…

Today I became reacquainted with a hole in my belt I haven't interacted with in quite some time. Without sucking in and cutting of circulation.
-
I do overnight oats with rolled or steel cut oats, greek yoghurt, almond milk, chia and raisins. Vanilla extract gives it a little sweet, but I usually put in a tbsp of honey too.
-
I drink 100+ ounces of water a day. Plus coffee and 1 soda. I fill three water bottles with 70 ounces every morning and refill them when 2 are empty. And I usually keep one with me at all times. It started as a way to drink less soda and save money and became a habit that I did because it was supposed to help me eat less.…

When I search for walking, it's in the list as walking, 3.5 mph. At my height/weight, Nike said my walk today burned 300 calories in 35 minutes. Other apps have similar numbers. MFP 3.5 mph puts that at 228. The body weight x miles times modifier above puts it at 151, but that doesn't appear to take pace into account.…

Whole wheat pizza crust is spinning in the bread maker as we speak. Does that count?
-
Well according to the MFP calculator, my homemade whole wheat pizza crust with pepperoni, mushroom, pizza blend cheese and sauce is only 541 calories for 1/4 of a pizza. And I won't use the whole recipe for one pizza because then it will be sitting around in the fridge calling to me.

Day to day fluctuations is the reason I normally weigh Monday and Friday and compare that to the previous Monday or Friday. I guess ordering pizza because my weight dropped 2 more pounds may not be an option. :)

I've lost about 15 pounds and all the shorts I bought at the beginning of the summer keep falling off now so I either need a belt or new shorts. A bunch of older shirts fit now Legs are almost to the point of my soccer days. Profile is less round in front Face is less jowly (used to look like a pear) Able to not only touch…

I treat it like any other high calorie special meal, I monitor my calories and do an extra 20-30 minutes on the elliptical.
-
They don't have an option in MFP for my walking speed, so I use the 3.5MPH option. And it's lower than all the other calculators I've tested, and I've got a steady downward trend in the weight loss, so I feel confident I'm not over reporting calorie burn.

Overnight oats that may be more chia than oatmeal. Half of a ginormous Honeycrisp apple. Which is less than 1/3 of the MFP recommended fiber fore the day. Going to have to just start munching handfuls of barley I guess...

I did my boringly predictable morning constitutional at about 3.75 MPH and 50 minutes on the elliptical at various speeds to keep the heart rate up and the blood flowing while I sat and stared at a computer screen...

I've made some decent tofu curries and stir fries. Add chickpeas or beans to a salad. I'll make a batch of black beans and eat it with brown rice and pico de gallo. Dab of Greek yogurt on top instead of sour cream and more protein.

Depends on who says it. Random work person I barely know or parent at my kids' school who I only see at carpool then it might feel a little weird because it is kind of like this random person is watching me. At the same time, it would be good to hear that I've made enough progress that a person I barely know noticed it.…

I think the basic premise is to say if you (the reader) like something on pizza you would probably like it in an omelet. Not 100% of course. My wife like pepperoni pizza but if I say "Italian omelet", she turns green. Pineapple has no business in omelets or on pizza. Avocado has no business on or in anything. Pepperoni,…

Plain cheese pizza. And for my stepson, extra cheese was a no-no. I always think of picky as refusing to try stuff, not trying stuff and refusing to eat it if you don't like it. Why waste money on something that I don't like, like avocado that will be perfect in the store and rotten by the time I get home, when I can get…

Yesterday I made: Banana oatmeal chocolate chip bars for the kids. Tater tot sausage egg and cheese "muffins" for the wife to take for breakfast My egg white ham and pepper jack bites Tatziki pasta salad (whole grain penne, cucumber, tomato, kalamatas, dill, garlic, lemon juice, greek yoghurt" Greek marinated chicken (…

I work from home and pretty much wear the same thing (tshirt and shorts) everyday. Since I thought my clothes weight maybe a pound, I never really worried about it. I wonder if the additional shirt and shoes I wear to the doctor make up the 3 pound difference between their scale and mine...

I'm a salt and pepper only kind of guy. Then a 90 minute sous vide at 128 with a hard sear over super hot charcoal. Mostly walking and elliptical. Currently 228. My walking speed is just shy of 4mph so I use 3.5 in MFP. I compared several calculators (MFP, multiple running apps, various websites) and the MFP number was the…

So what you're saying is since I'm almost 1500 calories ahead so far this week, I can go buy that 20 ounce bone in ribeye with loaded baked potato this weekend.
-
Early on I weighted myself randomly. Since the conditions were different every time, that had weird fluctuations, which was very disconcerting. Now just Monday and Friday morning after I walk. I use it to see if I made any progress during the week and to motivate myself to be good during the weekend when I have less time…

Annoying that it doesn't burn more. For years people have always said can't burn fat without muscles blah blah blah. Still, some muscle better than none. My plan is to get into the habit using a set of 10 exercises I found. I started out just doing two and waiting a day between. Then I did 3, wait, 4, wait, and today I'm…

Country Captain. About 2 cups of chopped tomatoes = 1 14.5 ounce can of crushed in my experience. +1 Homemade ketchup. I hadn't eaten ketchup for years until I made my own. Slice, salt, devour. Pretend it's an apple and just eat it?

What I did last week at local Mexican place was eat half of it, because that was all I needed, weighed the other half, and guesstimated the amounts of chicken/beef/chorizo/cheese. I called it a close enough. I also looked for a similar option in MFP and compared that to what I had come up with. Used the higher number.

My go to 20 years ago was a bag of frozen mixed veggies and poached chicken with some sort of vinaigrette. Veggies would defrost during the day and keep the chicken cold. Get some canned water cress and it's a decent crunch. Canned artichoke hearts for some acid. Peruse the Asian section of the grocery store for things…

I used to buy that. Would cut 2 roasts and a bunch of chops. Doing these from memory because I tend to cook by eye with them. All recipes imply salt and pepper to taste and Sweet and sour pork. 1-2 lbs pork Can pineapple chunks with juice Bell pepper chopped Onion chopped ~1/4 cup Vinegar Brown sugar Tbsp of soy Brown pork…

I’d say nothing drastic until you talk to a doctor/dietician. I’ve been prediabetic for a couple years but didn’t really think about it until my glucose hit 106 in February and an MRI showed neuropathy. I started cutting out the white carbs (white potatoes, white bread, white rice, white sugar). My doctor approved that…

Wearing my shoes too tight was causing me pain interestingly. Looking for something in the middle. PT recommended a new way to lace them so see what happens with that.
