Sweet humblebrag, dude.

I'm a migraine sufferer as well. It's so hard to stay focused on your routine when a migraine decides to pop up. I've been through all the drug treatments, but the things that I've found that work best for me are: 1. Don't push yourself. If you can't keep to your exercise because of a migraine, don't force yourself and…

I'm definitely not suffering lol. I've had a lot of fun planning and most everything is done! But in the last month I've had close family in the hospital, a car accident, and been sick twice. When you put all that on top of the planning, I think I've just been worn out. But I like some of the suggestions here to just find…

I'm a bride! My wedding is in May and my Maui honeymoon is in July, so this last month I have gotten SERIOUS!

My fiancé is dying to learn Wing Chun; where do you find a teacher?. I have an orange belt in Krav Maga :)

I think it was the insinuation that no one is a special sneauxflake that can only lose weight with diet pills (eye roll)
-
Ugh, this thread makes me feel like a total failure. I gained weight while on Mirena, but not because of the birth control itself....but because between the agony of the insertion and the constant stabbing pain it caused, I couldn't work out! Ended up having it removed after docs verified it was in the proper place and…

Totally agree. IMHO, juicing isn't a healthy way to lose weight when you are using it to replace multiple meals. Not only is it not teaching you to eat right, but I've seen a lot of people harm themselves with this kind of a diet. I think what OP is suggesting is not healthy/not good advice. Couple that with the fact that…

Thanks. I am definitely seeing better results than when I was just doing cardio. My body is very clearly responding to this better. I am also a student of Krav Maga, so I am trying to really focus on the strength aspect - it's a lot of fun to take down dudes twice my size, but some of the moves are a struggle for obvious…

This makes sense. I haven't seen a HUGE change on the scale (it was about 5 or 6lbs in January, which I think is a decent rate), but I am noticing body changes already, and I think that's due in part to the lifting. I'm also short, which makes small changes more noticeable on my body. But I felt like I was going crazy,…

I'm brand new to lifting. However, I have done bodyweight strength training in the past (lots of martial arts).

I know. It just frustrates me to no end. Are people actually thinking "Oh I can't do yoga - what if, somewhere between the exercises and the breathing, I accidentally become Hindu?!" Yoga is such a calming and healthful thing that almost anyone can benefit from - but god forbid we experience something that comes from a…

A note on snacks - I am a popcorn addict so I feel your pain. I switched from microwave popcorn to just buying the kernels in bulk and popping my own. I use the smallest pot I have to restrict how much I can make. Also, when you pop over the stove, it's WORK! you have to keep shaking the pan, so every time I go for…

This is literally the stupidest thing I've ever read. Why do people insist on demonizing such harmless things?
-
You definitely have a drinking problem. Schedule a doctor's appointment and start looking into resources in your area for alcoholism. Remember that this won't change unless you really WANT to change. Good luck!
-
I don't understand your point. Are you saying women can't gain muscle???
-
Weight loss is a fluctuating thing. You haven't 'plateaued' until you've gone 4-6 weeks with no change. The reality is, you're not going to lose weight every single week. Keep at it. These things just take patience.

As a chronic sweet tooth addict, I have a few ideas - -The grocery store is the easiest place to exhibit self control, so start there. Eating something healthy and filling before you go and make the conscious decision to leave the candy OUT of the cart. Instead, buy some fruit, a few of those 100-calorie snack packs if you…

Great snack ideas! I did this type of break down into smaller meals at one point and kind of stopped doing it - it was before I was logging, so I'm not sure if it was helping or just adding calories. I might have to give it another try. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I completely get that. I've had several that put me in the hospital, so I know how rough it can get. I just find that I lose all motivation to eat healthy when it happens. I've started to not stock junk food in the house, but I can turn anything into junk food when eating enough of it - migraines sometimes make me…

As a vegetarian who didn't care for my B12 levels - being low on B12 (which is found in animal sources) can make you extremely tired and can cause fatigue like what you're describing during your workouts. Consider a supplement.

Do you ever incorporate strength/weight training into your workouts? Building muscle will help you change that percentage.

I'd like to join!

I add a scoop of protein powder to my Greek yogurt and mix it in before adding fruit and granola. Great way for me to boost my protein (especially as a vegetarian) without doing much extra.

Don't give up! I am a picky eater too. It's all about trying things you normally wouldn't try and omitting or making substitutions as necessary. For instance, I thought I hated black beans before I found a few creative ways to make them, and now I use them in everything! Browse healthy recipes on Pinterest for inspiration.…

I've purchased my dress and my goal is to lose about 30lbs. Most dresses can be taken in up to 4 sizes, so here's hoping lol

Another vegetarian here! Add me so we can swap recipes!

Hello and congrats! I am getting married in May 2016 and it's time to get my weight under control. I have found my dress and it is form fitting and non-traditional, so it's important to fit into it properly. My goal is to lose about 38 lbs in the next 9 months. Looking for friends on here to help stay motivated!
