  • Didn't say every one was out of shape, i said its funny how I'm being berated by out of shape people who haven't achieved their goals, some comments from some of these people make it seem as though they are fitness gurus in amazing shape and they aren't We all started somewhere, we all had challenges but I'd never…
  • Doctor oz is *kitten*. I posted links to actual scientific studies from ncbi so again tell me what bro science? I doubt these muscles came from things that don't work.
  • You guys are delusional, I'm over it ... i never said it was the only way.. what I'm saying is try something new and work harder Its obvious there's a bunch of close minded folks in this place so hey if what you're doing works for you then cool, don't know why you commented to begin with. Its funny to see people who are…
  • I never bashed it, i even said i do steady state, do you guys read?!?!?! Lol what i said is if that ALL you do day in and day out then you're cheating yourself, mix it up a little bit .... why is that concept being so ill received And while progress might be acheived why not maximize that and optimize the time spent…
  • What bro science? Lol what have i said exactly thats bro science, because i believe earlier I posted real scientific studies to back what I've said... just because i have muscles doesn't mean i spew bro science. And if you truly did the research you'd know that
  • I agree with you to an extent, and i only say that because those who walk day in and day out in other countries and even here who don't have weight issues aren't who i was talking about, they are already fit.. I'm talking to people who are over weight and looking to lose weight, butn more cals and push past plateaus As a…
  • People read it how they wanted to read it, i never once said it was the ONLY was nor did i insinuate that it was .. i was simply giving people an alternative .. take it or leave it its just advice Funny how everything else was disregarded and people took one small piece out of what i was saying just to be negative, I'm in…
  • If you don't understand how glycogen works for fat loss then do the same i did and research it ... fasted cardio means depleted glycogen stores, meaning you burn fat and not carbs .. if i have to simplify it ...
  • My reading comprehension skills are amazing my business degress can atest to that.. as well as my physique as it applies to this convo
  • I can post scientific study links all day long if you'd like, i base my opinion on facts so anyone who wants to challenge that I'm game but I'd say challenge yourself in the gym that'd probably be a better use of your time
  • Its not bro science its actual science, please don't insult my intelligence, ive spent countless hours researching what i need to do to achieve my goals... no i don't have a trainers certification but i have done my due diligence to research what needs to be done and the science behind it, I've had trial and error in the…
  • Even more https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2991639/
  • Why talk ... just read https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23210120
  • Kickstarting your metabolism and shocking your body to gain muscle, lose weight and burn more cals is a very real thing... At this point I'm over the convo, at 215lbs and 7% bodyfat my body speaks for its self, my lifts in the gym, my runs and all the gains ive made just this year alone after having surgery in January and…
  • It seems that way doesn't it lol
  • Funny how people zerod in on the part where I'm challenging you to work hard and totally negated all the other positive things .... If you don't want to push yourself then fine, i honestly don't care i was just trying to be helpful and to try to get people to see things from a new perspective... it seems as though people…
  • I lift 7 days a week, 2 to 3 days a week i do some form of hiit ... Get some good bcaas and beta alanine, because it shouldn't be a recovery issue. Too much cardio can be negative especially to lifters which is why hiit is a much better option in my opinion Look at a marathon runners body compared to a sprinters ...
  • I've ran the new york marathon, i have no problem with walking and running long distances but it seems most people's goals here are to lose weight, maybe gain muscle.. why would someone looking to acheive those goals walk for hours on end? Why take that much time in the gym when it can be done more efficiently? I never…
  • What about anything i said is a myth? All I'm saying is the more you put in the more you get out... how is this a myth.. how is mixing hiit into your training not beneficial over just doing steady state cardio? How is shocking the body a myth? Please let me know lol
  • I said there's no such thing as "toning" which i stand behind ... toning is simply dropping bf and building muscle ... the toning phrase is misleading to people who are overweight and want to target a specific area, its the reason people are in the gym doing a million crunches and bicep curls, and not making the most out…
  • If all your doing is steady state cardio day in and day out then thats fine, but you're cheating yourselves out of progress .. As i said before our bodies are highly adaptive, walking for an hour on a treadmill is not pushing your body to its limits, you'll eventually burn less and less calories, its ok to do some steady…
  • Whats wrong with HIIT ? Lol its not tough at all go on a treadmill walk for a minute sprint for 30 secs and do this 10 times, increase the intensity each week, its simple... yes you'll be out of breath and probably wanting to quit, but I'd much rather be on a treadmill for 15 mins than for an hour plus, all I'm trying to…
  • This isn't true... "Toning" is simply building muscle and reducing body fat, while you can target muscle gains you can't target fat loss, "toning" is a myth and an overly used expression that tricks people into programs and this false idea of targeted weight loss.
  • It's all about establishing maintenance calories, during your weightloss I'm willing to bet you went from eating a bunch to an extreme deficit to lose the weight. A lot of people make this mistake, for some reason we're programmed to believe that eating less means losing weight faster, and it can but in the long run it…

  • Both. First thing when you wake up do some fasted steady state cardio, i usually have some black coffee and walk/jog 3.5 -5 miles, this kick starts your metabolism and heart rate youll burn more calories throughout the day. After have a good breakfast and your meals and in the evening or afternoon, hit the weights!!!
  • Could be the junk on the weeknds, could be the calories are too low, could be your nutrition or all of the above What specifically have you fixed with your wating habits? Whats junk? And whats your daily caloric intake
  • The first thing I will tell you is NEVER GIVE UP!! You most importantly have to tell yourself, like really beat it into your mind that THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN FAST!!! Commit right now in your mind to a year, a year that will be filled with learning, ups and downs, goals, struggle, and most importantly FAILURES. It's ok to…
  • No problem!!! Hope it helps a little, don't give up. It's all a learning process but as long as you keep pushing forward it'll all workout, remember a baby step forward is still a step forward
  • You need to establish healthy maintenance calories, this will take longer than a couple weeks and yes you might gain a little weight back but in the long run this will help especially with plateaus ... At so much of a deficit (1200 cals) you of course lost weight, but now your body is retaining water and probably fat and…
