Exact thing happened to me. I've always had a very clear comolexion. A few weeks after eating clean abd working out, my nice complexion was gone. I started carrying a pack of the simple brand facial cleansing wipes in my workout bag and within a week or two of wiping my face down immediately pre and post workout, my…

Unfortunately, you don't get much of an allowance when your a petite female. I'm 5'0, my BMR is 1221. My TDEE is more forgiving since I workout 5x a week as its 1,856. If I subtract 250-500 calories from that to lose weight, I'm only allowed around 1400. It doesn't sound like anyone in that starvation study was extra…

Thanks for the recipe! I will be trying those tomorrow!

Personally, I get a much better workout while fasted. Whether it's cardio. pure strength, or HIIT, I am able to put much more energy in my workouts when I don't have food in my belly. I take BCAAs to avoid losing muscle as I fast. My friend is completely opposite. She doesn't have enough energy to make it through if she…

I make homemade quest bars from recipes I found on Pinterest. The secret ingredient is vitafiber (found on Amazon). Once your pantry is properly stocked, comes to about 88 cents per bar. YouTube has homemade quest bar videos. If your more concerned with convenience then Cliff bars are my second choice. You can get a 24…

Are your protein macros for the day met? If yes, then if your not hungry, don't eat. It's always nice to have some extra calories banked up for a day that you do over eat. If your lacking in the protein department then have yourself a protein shake. I like EAS AdvatEdge as they are only 100 calories for 17g protein.…

Lol, no.

I'm seriously wanting to cry the jealous tears of a short person right now. I'm down to 129 and no where near looking that good in a two piece. I'm 5'0", I would have to get down to 110 to look half as good as that. You look amazing! Keep doing what your doing!

Cardio can dramatically increase appetite in some people. Is there any way you can eat dinner first and then go on your walk sometime after dinner? If this is not an option then make sure your eating a high protein lunch as protein is much more filling than carbs. There are days when I am absolutely starving when I come…

I'm not a runner either. Although I am uncoordinated with two left feet, I love Zumba group fitness and Beachbody Cize. I enjoy them so much that I don't consider them workouts, just what I do for fun and stress relief on my rest days.

No, I use agave and honey to replace sugar. I take a teaspoon of yakon syrup daily for digestive health. I strength train 3-4x a week. I'm developing outstanding and very noticeable definition to my legs and glutes, but not so much to my arms. Genetically, I carry my weight in my upper body, so my arms, shoulders and…

Outside my normal multi, vitamin D, fish oil, etc...I take BCAAs and L-glutamine to keep from losing lean muscle as I work out and fast. I am seeing fantastic results, especially with post workout muscle recovery. I strongly recommend the research of BCAAs to anyone who activity strength trains. I've been taking Yakon…

Celebrate each milestone with a new pair of pants/new clothes to compliment your weight loss. I am in dire need of new winter clothes but I refuse to buy anything until I reach my goal weight. Shopping for clothes will be a blast once I'm smaller. Brazilian steak houses are the greatest! I will be going tomorrow evening…

I've been ing doing Leangains a little over a month now with fantastic results.

I'm 5'0" myself. We always hear those last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose and I believe it's even tougher at our height. I highly suggest you research intermittent fasting, specifically Leangains. There is an intermittent fasting group here on MFP with some great information. IF is the best thing I've ever discovered.…

Weighing is a personal preference. Weigh yourself as often as you like. Some people don't like to step on the scale very often, others like to weigh once a week to check progress. Personally, I weigh myself twice a day, first thing in the morning and right before bed. I do this to familiarize myself with my weight…

Research intermittent fasting, specifically Leangains. There is an intermittent fasting group here on MFP with very helpful information. IF may not be for everyone, but since I started about a month ago, the weight is literally falling off. I was losing so fast that I had to bump up my calorie intake because I was afraid…

I prefer to workout in the mornings fasted. With kids, work, etc...this doesn't always go as planned. I keep the group fitness schedule up and try to catch a workout class anytime my schedule allows. I also try to make it a habit to walk 2.5 miles around the park with my 14 year old daughter at least a few evenings a week.…

Intermittent fasting!!

You need to give your muscles a rest in between strength training sessions, but you should walk everyday!

I like to eat 21 fix meals and whole30 meals for health reasons, but prefer MFP calorie tracker and a food scale over the annoying containers. Get on Pinterest and do a search for "21 day fix recipes" and/or "21 day fix meal plans" and a whole wealth of recipes, ideas, tips, etc...will come up.

I completely understand your defensiveness, I've previously gotten my head chewed off over my opinions on artificial sugars, preservatives and natural supplements. I previously worked for a cosmetic surgeon who prescribed Adipex (generic Phetermine) to his weight loss patients. Phetermine has been around a really long time…

I'm a competitive spicy food eater. My husband and I travel around to partake in spicy food challenges. The Carolina Reeper knocked Bhut Jolokia aka ghost pepper out of the Guinness book of world records as being the hottest pepper in the world. I had the pleasure of eating two of those peppers and shaking the hand of the…

I'm going to continue to fast until 2pm as I do everyday. I will log my food and exercise as usual. Other than that, I will NOT be using my food scale on Thanksguvjbg day. I will not be eyeing every single ingredient to make sure there is no evil msg or preservatives lurking in the food ingredients. I will not be freaking…

Exactly, everyone can benefit from hitting their macros, even those who do not exercise at all.

Lean muscle mass burns more calories. Cardio burns extra calories as well. You can lose weight without exercise, but health benefits aside, life is so much more enjoyable when you can eat more and still lose weight.

I have a question. I was reading last night that proper amount to eat in order to maintain is 10-12 calories per pound. My current weightloss strategy is 500 calories under my TDEE. Since my TDEE calculations change with weight loss and activity levels, wouldn't it be easier just to eat at 10 calories per my goal weight?…

Yes, fajitas are an excellent choice, I like chucken. Go easy on the cheese and sour cream. I substitute flour tortillas for corn tortillas.

I've been alcohol free for exactly one month today. I did have some O'Douls (nonalcoholic beers) last night so the Jell-O shot guy would quite harassing me, but overall, I've never felt better. Life without hangovers or sleep disruptions is freakin fantastic!!!!!

One "cheat" day can cost you an entire weeks progress, sometimes more. Not worth it to me. When something comes up (like Halloween weekend parties and brunch in my case) I switch my goal from aggressive (2lbs a week) to nonaggressive (half pound a week) this gives me an extra four hundred calories to work with. Doing this…
