  • I am not doubting that information. Just saying moderation is key with some foods.
  • Regarding the original post, it is funny because I find it easier to eat less when I go out to eat or eat with friends. When I am by myself that is when I tend to munch and overeat. Sip on a drink so that you aren't tempted to eat more than you planned. And I like the advice someone gave previously to look for food that…
  • So you bring your scale to a restaurant and weigh your food after a waiter serves it to you? If you are able to do this, good for you. I understand maybe bringing it to a friends house who I am close with and knows I am counting calories but a restaurant I would be too self conscious about all the eye balls on me as I do…
  • I remember a year or 2 ago there was a big thing in the news about how rice has cancer causing arsenic. Everything needs to be eaten in moderation. Bacon was never considered a healthy food so I don't think eating it on a daily basis is a good idea, but 1-2 times a week and skipping a few weeks here and there in my opinion…
  • Do you mind sharing which one you are taking ?
  • I suspect I have a little bit of ADD, hard time concentrating sometimes. Although I am no longer a kid, any natural help is worth a try. Dont know why people are so quick to reject any natural healthy help.
  • I plan my whole week in advance on MFP and then I cook/prep most of it on Sundays for the week. It helps a lot and I don't have to worry about what to eat and recording it during the week. I still deviate here and there from the plan but if I didn't have a plan it would be much worse.
  • I don't expect a miracle from any supplement, but a little help from fish oil can't hurt, even if there is only a minuscule benefit. I already eat fish. Actually when I took fish oil previously I did see a small change in concentration (unless maybe it was a placebo effect) I had to stop taking that brand though because it…
  • Yes I did try that. I am putting them in nike training sneakers and they are too bulky for them.
  • Thanks, I've been wanting to do that just don't have the time right now to go there. Was looking for a quick solution =/ I think my issue is I have a high arch. If anyone has similar problem and found an insole that works please suggest :)
  • How do you make your americano with the Bialetti? I keep playing with it and it's coming out too bitter.
  • Hey, so I can't figure out how to make coffee with the moka pot, it comes out way too bitter and I like to drink my coffee black. Please let me know how you guys make it? I purchased this instead of the moka pot because I liked that it is is stainless steel, but I am assuming it is the same thing as moka.…
  • Maybe you aren't eating enough calories or not eating them evenly through out the day? You should open up your diary so we can see it and then maybe based on that we can give better recommendations and what kind of snacks you should add. If you didn't eat anything and then only had coke and crackers then it would make…
  • This will help my family member a lot, thanks for mentioning it. She always reaches her insurance limits and the testing strips for her machine are like $100+ for a pack without insurance. This is so much cheaper than other companies. Would be good to have this as a back up. Will probably get it for myself too.
  • I think feeling sore after the gym is normal. I sometimes feel sore after a work out even with stretching but I assume that means it was a good work out. I can't help you with specific stretches, maybe another poster will be able to but try to search on youtube that's where I get mine.
  • Yes this was very common in my household as well. It is supposed to heal the throat since they say honey has healing properties.
  • Which ones do you rotate through? I only have one that I use and have been looking for another one to try but they all seem to have either soy, gluten, or lactose in them and I am trying to avoid all three.
  • It does seem like most people with hypoglycemia usually have had it for long time but you never know. Some experience hypo when their diet is bad or they aren't eating enough. Also it could be associated with prediabetes or something similar. It could be iron, could be many things, even Dr won't be able to tell you until…
  • Just wondering does walmart have strips to go with the glucose monitor? The strips are usually really expensive without an RX. I know someone that gets an RX but there is a limit and they always run out of them and too expensive to buy on their own.
  • Wow same thing with me. Just interesting to see someone else describe the same problem. When I was little it would hit that hypoglycemic number and below it, it was really bad. Eventually the numbers became better and no longer hit the hypo number but I still till this day would feel the symptoms if I don't eat on time.…
  • I assumed you go by the measurement of them raw. Didnt realize they have different calories. I like my eggs runny when fried and always questioned if they really are same calories as boiled.
  • Youre at the weight I wish to be and about same height. Your stomach is soo flat, no bulges at all, cant believe you are maintaining it without exercising now. Good job!
  • [ Actually many drs to recommend them now, especially if youve been taking antibiotics. You can get them through naturally through kimchi or saurkraut but most people dont eat this on a regular basis.
  • Thats awesome. Congrats! If you dont mind can you give some info: What was your starting weight, current weight, height ? And how did you lose it? how many cals? What kind of exercise? :)
  • It wont make you gain weight but may seem that way because its making you bloated. Bread makes me very puffy + digestive issues which is why i am gluten free. But i eat other carbs: potatoes, yam, quinoa, rice, etc
  • I like to have a food schedule. I try to eat at the exact time each day and each meal has a predetermined amount of calories. Even if I dont feel hungry I just automatically eat at that time anyway.
  • Congratulations on how well you are doing so far and on your decision to make a change. I agree with others, I think not weighing your food is the issue. You might be incorrectly recording your food and eating more calories than you think. I think before making any other changes first try a food scale. Good luck :)
  • Make your meals for the week in advance on sundays.
  • Vitamin d has a limit that we can handle, anything over the limit would cause those problems you listed. Which is why vit d should only be taken if advised by your dr after a blood test and with a time limit. Some people need d indefinitely but that needs to be determined by a dr. However b12 has a high limit or maybe no…
  • Most vitamins have a limit that our bodies can handle. If you are considering to take a vitamin that has a limit you should definitely confirm with a dr. I always check with a dr before taking a vitamin supplement. Sometimes I am told it is pointless and no benefit from taking a certain vitamin but they let me know if it…
