If you read through the article you would find the Dr who did this research is named Dr. Blaser and his study is easily found when googling. His research was also done on humans. Theres a lot of interesting information regarding antibiotics if you look him up. I don't think he is trying to prove antibiotics should be…

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/11/01/health/scientist-examines-possible-link-between-antibiotics-and-obesity.html?referer= If you look up the dr who did this research you can find his full report. Sometimes theres more to learn after pharmacy or medical school. Im not in the medical field but I am sure lots of different…

I have before mentioned that scholarly articles point out similar information. My point was that even if not 100% proven yet but have been scientifically studied and printed, it may help someone. Maybe 'logic' is another one desperately needed to be taught. As I have posted before caffeine may not be directly linked to…

I mentioned in my previous posts that it is a gym inside my building complex. Most gyms should have wifi though but I dont really have choice of switching gyms.
-
They put it in the magazine and make these researches public because it is good to have knowledge about things. It may not help you, but someone else reading may find the info very helpful. I randomly read somewhere online (not even a medically backed up post) all the negatives of coffee and how they effect things inside…

It is all under one plan but your plan terms are divided into data(internet), minutes(phone use), text. There are things like hulu, netfix, prime which allow streaming but not all allow the download of these videos.. Hence the question. Question was not please judge me for wanting to watch tv while running or walking on a…

I think this is similar to how my bf eats. He savours his food and eats it very slowly. I think thats why he is able to control his cravings. I always try to remind myself to do this but forget to.
-
Yep Ive had times when a small craving hit me and Ive considered going outside to get it but the process of going outside to get it stopped me from eating it. If this cheat food was in my house I probably wouldnt have given it a 2nd thought and would eat it. The craving eventually subsided and I saved a couple of calories.…

Me too, after the broth cools I pick that layer of fat off. Since I cant find an answer, I've been logging it as 50 calories. No clue if it is anywhere near being accurate. I am still losing weight so I guess it is not too big of an issue.

Ok I am done with this thread, why repeat the same question if you can refer to my above explanations on why I am asking about it. So ridiculous I asked on help with something specific not for judgments on what my brain should be focused on while I am on a treadmill. We are all different, what works for you doesn't mean it…
-
Refer to above explanation. Also the treadmill is my 2nd workout of the day so I do not need it to be so intense and serious. I know what you mean, I feel more relaxed and my mind is clearer after exercising but I always assumed it was the byproduct of the endorphins, hormones, etc released during exercising. I can see how…

A treadmill? Or an elliptical? All machines that are stationary and face a wall could apply to this thinking exercise.
-
Do you really meditate while exercising.. Seems like an odd place to meditate. The purpose of meditation is to relax. I dont think we need to look at how things were back in the day because the purpose of stuff we have today is to help with convenience. I like to multi task, I am not watching my ipad all day so it would be…

Staring at a blank wall for an hour is extremely boring to do every single day. I am not the first or last to want TV while exercising which is why most gyms outside of buildings have TVs which I am sure you noticed in your 23 years of various gyms. Besides I am busy during day and dont get to watch shows I want to watch…

The point of the articles isn't to use it as an excuse and become complacent it is to help people become aware of what may hinder their weight or appetite. Some people are able to control their appetite easier than other groups of people, and with research we can better understand why there is a difference between these…

@stevencloser Of course calories in and out is the basis of energy in your body but we aren't talking about energy, the headlines were regarding the different links to obesity. And of course in the end everyone CAN be in control of how much they eat, but these links were researched and proven to make it HARDER to control…
-
I noticed people on MFP like to look at how our bodies work in a very simplified way. There's more mechanisms/processes inside us besides calories in and calories out. Also science and research is an ongoing thing there will always be new info discovered and old info retracted. The unicorns thing and umbrella examples are…

any idea how many bytes a 30 min show takes?
-
I think you are right about that going to look into it. From a brief google search this looks complicated lol. Does it work for macs?
-
What are those ways? I don't want to pay for each show/series individually.
-
How do you prerecord in order to watch on ipad ?
-
Its my buildings gym. Which phone service are you with, 10gb seems pricey.
-
Or is a hotspot an add on to a plan?
-
Sorry im not very tech smart. Cell hotspot would require me to use up my phone data ? If that is correct then 2 shows would eat up all my data. I have 2 gb in my plan. Unless I am misunderstanding something ? So bored on treadmill lol.

Ive always seen it as common sense but I've never had a dr recommend it until recently. Usually they used to prescribe antibiotics only but now they prescribe it together. But either way they do effect your system from your stomach to hormones. Plus even those good bacterias in the stomach that the antibiotics are…
-
And with antibiotics theres a lot of side effects from them which is why drs now actually recommend to take probiotics after, which they never did before. It has a whole bunch of different effects on your system. If you havent experienced them then you are lucky.
-
With coffee theres different research that goes back and forth on the effects and benefits of it.
-
You can have some fruits ? Nuts? Could be better replacements for soda calories.
-
Maybe the meats you are eating are too bland? Try to add some marinades or spices or cook it in a different way. I've actually recently decided to make 2 days of the week meat free lunches not so much because I am sick of meats but I read somewhere how having too much animal based protein isnt that healthy. Ill just need…
